Yeah, this is terrible. I thought Aaron's act was boring and slow and unsuspenseful as well, but Mel hitting the buzzer when she did was just stupid.

I loved Shin's first performance and was still super impressed for his others, but I really hope he does something different for the next one. It's too much of the same thing, even if he's really really good at it.

If you're talking about Front Pictures, I liked them and think they're one of the better VR acts to ever be on AGT. Was disappointed they didn't advance. Their act is at least interesting to watch, vs some of the others that are boring.

Like some of the singers. There are way too many singers. I think 12 out of the remaining 21 acts are singers.

And the dance groups suck. Zurcaroh was the only impressive one, if they count. The others are downright terrible, compared to almost any of the performers on World of Dance, which draws a stark contrast, especially since it airs immediately after the results show.

Did anyone think that Aaron screwed up the trick at the end? Moving Simon's hand to the other box seemed like improvising.

I'm shocked the judges voted for him over the dancers.

America's initial voting percentages were something like:

Aaron: 20's
Singer: 40's
Dancers: 30's

I thought Aaron meant to do that with Simon. Just make it seem like he almost got hurt. I just don't understand the whole act. What's the point of the ticking? To distract us from how he's not going over the blades in order but jumping around to the one it's not in? Because it didn't work. And he gets to keep moving them to feel which one it's not in?

Yeah I really don't get the love for him. Like it's cool cause things are sharp but it's so scripted what could actually go wrong. And one trick in 3 minutes is pretty boring. Pretty sure the metronome was just for the timing dramatic effect but absolutely, if he's moving the boxes how could he ever not know?

Thought the Russian guys "dance" was better than they made it out to be but I don't think I saw them before and I also preferred the other vr guy over them.

The singer they were all crying about was ok but is it a talent to adopt a ton of kids? Or the big lady singer.. didn't think it was supposed to be about feeling badly for people

but its americas got talent, not americas got empathy. i dont get why a sob story is worth more than skill. but hey, reality tv...

Do they Vet these stories? Some could be on the long con. lol

Shin Lim is so good, it's insane.

If he doesn't win, he will at least get a Vegas show, maybe they will let tape face go and put in Shin Lim.

thats what i was talking about earlier, he isnt a sad story, hes just really good at what he does. ive watched lots of magicians reactions to his stuff and they get the jist of it but just talk about how smooth, clean, and well presented his tricks are.

i still think his auditions one was the best so far cause the rest is basically recycled/slightly tweaked stuff hes already done. 52 shades of red and the p&t stuff. not that its not good, but itd be tough to have 8 rounds of tricks if you only have 3. but his first one id never seen any of before.

the vr guy (front production?) got to come back and thats what he did? wow that was weak compared to the first i saw (with the wolf head thing). for once i agree with simon?? hard pass now, it was just a light show

How does Simon say the acrobats were the best act of the night and then pick the singing kids over them just to tie it and let the votes decide?

Surprised neither of the female singers made it...thought they did a good job.

The card trick guy is insane. I watched his bit over and over and for the life of me, it just looks like magic.

was glad he made it through first. he says watch the marker for a good, but pretty insignificant move, but when he pulled it back out was really overlooked and very wtf. i wish he ended standing cause im sure the edge/under the table had to do with the disappearing there.

The sob stories over actual talent makes me sick but was pleasantly surprised at the results this week. The three strongest acts in my opinion all went through duo transcend, Zucaroh and of course Shin Lim would love to know how he does what he does hes amazing.

This. Shin should be set for life after this, regardless of final outcome. Ketterer might beat him on this show though, sob/feel good stories get the votes.

Next week's lineup looks pretty uninspiring to me. 7/11 singers, lol.

I would imagine it would be very difficult to make a good 90 minute show of close-up magic that would work in a large room.

Last night's show was really bad.

That might have been the worst semi final ever. Just so many boring or mediocre singers non-stop.

This show doesn't get the top singers, so it definitely needs variety acts to make up for it. A good show balance might be something like:

2 magic acts
2 dance groups
2 comedy acts
2 circus/acrobatic acts
2 singers
2 other (VR, animal, other music, etc)

.

Given the quality of dance groups that this show gets, I guess I don't disagree. If they could get groups anywhere near the level of quality on World of Dance though, then that would be a huge plus.

To put in some good words,I thought the lady singer was good and I would pay to see Courtney Hadwin do her Mick Jagger -Janis Joplin imitation in person just for the energy and spectacle. The Violin guy got a lot of applause and praise, but I couldn't hear him that well.
