You should probably be watching this, it's already pretty damn good.

Love it, can't wait for it to get even better. Gotta give this kind of comedy time to age properly.

Why do you guys lie? The first episode was meh and the last one was awful. I tuned in for Mike Schur, Andy Samberg and Andre Braugher. The only reason I'll give it another episode is the Parks and Rec connection and the hope that it will improve as that show did. But with all the peripheral characters on this show being annoying, I can't see it ever developing into a Parks and Rec ensemble.

I'm really enjoying it so far. I don't care if it ends up morphing into a bit of Park&Rec. That show might not make it past this next season, so something has to take it place. I think there is enough talent to make it it's own though.

Girl cop reminds me of Tina from The Shield, but not quite as cute.

I'm not sure what you were expecting if you didn't like last night's episode which imo was a huge improvement over the pilot

It's not a mockumentary either. It's just a screwball comedy, with wild caricatures, which is what makes it so entertaining. The show is definitely tighter already, and they will tighten it until it's right. Parks and Rec season 1 was really rough, but all the potential for what it became was there. Same thing here, in my opinion.

I'm enjoying this so far. Samberg is better here than he was on SNL live skits, and comparable to his digital shorts, which were often entertaining.

Have only seen the first episode so far, and really liked it. Schur & co. have already shown their ability to add depth and personality to the cast.

This show is watchable as is Parks and Recreation. Neither one of them is great, but they are good for network comedies.

liked the first two episodes a lot. Definitely some parks n rec vibes, with the most glaringly obvious being the April Ludgate of this show, Rosa.

I'm an Samberg fan but I wasn't expecting much.

Exceeded my expectations in that its actually a relatively funny and interesting show.

If Samburg spits out 3 consecutive jokes with the camera in his face, he only really needs to land 1 of them to make the audience laugh. This shotgun approach will keep the show above water.

It's already clear that Samberg gives them a wealth of material to choose from in editing, similar to how Amy Poehler acts in Parks and Rec.

I think they are having the same issue Parks and Rec had in it's first season. Samberg is a bit too much of a buffoon and not really relatable.

That's a perfect explanation of why I'm not worried. Comedy sets a tone (sometimes way too far or caricatured), and then slowly fixes it. Just look at how different Ron Swanson was in season 1 to now. It's like seeing a 13 year old whose voice hasn't changed, and the next school year they come back with a deep voice. Shows like this always have to find their way.

Almost no sitcoms are like Cheers, these days, where it was practically perfect right out of the gate. 6 episodes is generally the benchmark, and if a show isn't majorly progressing by then, it's probably not good. The show, Go On, last season was constantly tweaking, despite already being really good by its 6th episode. By the end, it was pretty awful. This show is clearly already tweaking in a major way, because the Pilot was funny but messy. It was far less messy this week.

Really trying to like this, but it's just not good yet. I'll give it a season and see how things shake out.

Meh two episodes in. Watchable. Samberg is grating me. I keep picturing how great Chris Pratt would be as him. Enjoying the loser fella chasing the girl.

Ep 3 made me laugh more than previous eps. I really want this show to hit a stride and get really good as P&R did. I can see it has a lot of potential. I liked more focus on the supporting cast this ep. The Terry stuff seems like it has a lot of room for good laughs. The interpretive dance followed by the captain walking in and immediately out got me pretty good.

Solid ep. Watchable, humorous, not spectacular, but enjoyable. Chelsea and her dancing were pretty good. Also liked when he traded cases, something like:

I've got a murder case here that is unsolvable, has no evidence, no leads, and thus...no paperwork.
You had me at no paperwork!
Uhhh...that was the very last thing I said...

That was a good line. All the Hitchcock stuff was A+. It takes somewhere between 6 and 8 episodes for the characters and writers in a show like this to hit their stride. They're right on track, and I thought episode 3 was the tightest yet.
