Yeah. Since the game cannot end in a tie, you're paying a lot of vig for a lot of numbers (+.5, PK, and -.5) that do absolutley nothing for you.

Don't bet sports, but I watched the whole series and loved it. Maybe a stupid question but why would VD use a fake SS number? What did he gain from doing that?

Maybe he was trying to not pay taxes on some of his winnings. He likely was doing transactions over 10k at the window so that would be a CTR every time, that isn't a big deal as long as you are paying your taxes.
