Most shows like that do the repeat scene stuff, for people that might be just tuning in, etc.
It does get annoying but I just hit the FF 30 second button.

yeah, i didnt catch that specific counties rules if they said it, but the jail in my county is for people awaiting trial, awaiting chain pull to a Dept of Corrections facility, and for people that have been sentenced up to a year, generally for misdemeanors.

jail and prison are two pretty different things, and i think the show will capitalize on people not realizing that.

Actually I think you are right, its up to 1 year for County Jails, anything over that would be prison. That is why sometimes a judge will sentence 1 year and a day, and that makes them go to prison.

I was thinking 60 days because of the show title I guess.

lawl.
I watched 1st episode last nt & tbh it was pretty good apart from the repeating scene's.
I see what you mean about the teacher, lawl says it all. He's in for a fun ride, NOT.
And who put that little girl in there ffs guys get her out ASAP, she's gonna have a melt down & may never recover from it, poor little flower.

The cop lawl, she just will not put up with not being in control & imo will explode to the point it may affect her future employment,(hope they have a clause somewhere) as she will not be able to stay out of other people's problem's imo.
The security guard OMG he needs to gtfo asap too, but hope he stays for the ride lol.
The marine should be fine unless he gets mixed up in stuff, as the marine has 1 of those stare's that say don't **** with me & the other 2 hopefully just needs to stay away from the politic's of life in jail. But you can't hide in county jail... 0)

TBH they are lucky that every piece of the jail is camera's everywhere, but **** is still gonna hit the fan lol.
Ohh & get that little girl outta there asap

I think the two groups not knowing each other is an interesting twist. I am curious how the military wife (the little girl) and the former cop will interact with each other.

Do you also get the feeling that this project could mess her up?

I thought that they knew each other? No. Where they not being interviewed by the sheriff & trainers all together?
I got the feeling that it was mostly a white populated jail so the black girl maybe at most risk, but could be mistaken on it.

And lOl The cop's gonna have enough on her plate to be able to look after(if at all) the military wife if she does take it upon herself.(she's 6 on my list because of her history of foster care, cop )
If they don't know each other at all then as I said just let the military wife leave as soon as she requests.( The person who selected her should get 60 days in county imo.)
My list for most at risk....
1. Security Guard
2. Military wife
3. Teacher
4. Ali's daughter
5. Black guy
6 Cop
7 Marine
Obv this list could change after I watch episode 2 tonight.
Also the teacher could easily be No1 as he's in the worst block but he seems like a fit guy so could handle a one on one until the guards arrive & you know its going down with him, lawl.

lOl I finished the 2nd part, looks good for next installment.
Spoiler:
Di.... Getting picked on at end. And shower shoes conclusion.

Could be someone else takes an interest in Military wife, who knows lol its county anything is poss.

It would have been more raw/better but dangerous if the reality show was not filming, but harder to get good footage. mic's/mini cam's hidden everywhere I think could have worked.

White alone, percent, July 1, 2014, (V2014) (a)
88.9%

Yep, that is hard to believe.

They may consider white/hispanic as one demographic. Some prisons/jails do that.

Thx
I caught that when I watched end of episode 2 last nt.
But the county being 89% white amazed me tbh, so maybe my list will change to who is at more risk after episode3. But i'll stand by Mr Security guard being No.1.

teacher is super annoying. happy the inmates are on to him immediately, and will take pleasure in watching them figuratively screw him for 2 months.

Military wife's schtick about 'inmates have it so easy its bs that our soldiers work and inmates get it all for free' - she's obviously gonna change her tune after 1 day.

marine probably at nonzero risk of committing crimes in jail, getting too involved with inmates and peer pressured into doing drugs and going along with it.

Ali daughter probably not famous enough to get recognized but that would be super funny to blow up the experiment.

97% sure this will happen. Would be so fun, since he wants to be a DEA agent or something similar. "Here's my CV, I did a cool experiment in the prison but also took a bunch of weirdo drugs, hire me?"

Good show, hopefully third episode first 15 mins doesn't repeat same stuff like 2nd did. That was sorta annoying

yea good read.

possibly related (or not) from a preview of the upcoming season
Spoiler:
thought i saw a clip of someone being sent to solitary confinement for a month. didn't see a face. if that was one of the contestants, not a regular inmate, would make sense to be teacher if they did risk analysis and decided the guy was in danger, so solitary was for his own protection, and a chance to get feedback on those procedures as well.

might reduce his screentime and therefore star potential

They covered everyone's family/significant others except for teacher right? I don't recall anything about family background on him. If he was lonely before jail lawl...

the perspective when teacher he was speaking was way off, as if he were a guest, not one of them ('you guys' vs 'us' etc). They already knew something was up, but literally everything he does makes it more clear that he's not one of them.
