did anyone catch 60 Days In on A&E?

It's so bizarre. I still can't believe it's real. They take 7 civilians and place them undercover in an overcrowded county jail. Even some of the people they picked raised red flags during their training.

http://www.businessinsider.com/60-da...inmates-2016-3

7 people went undercover as inmates for 2 months, and they revealed harrowing details about an Indiana jail

The show is the brainchild of Clark County Sheriff Jamey Noel, who said that he needed outsiders to give him an honest look at life behind bars.

"The only way to truly understand what was going on in the jail was to implement innocent participants into the system to provide first-hand unbiased intelligence," Noel said in a statement provided by A&E. "These brave volunteers helped us identify critical issues within our system that undercover officers would not have been able to find."

Yea, I saw it. That teacher Rob is going to get his ass kicked. Previews showed Dike Tami got her ass kicked too.

Watched the first two episodes expecting some scripted horse **** but it's pretty damn compelling. How sick am I for rooting for Rob to get raped?

I probably shouldn't be a corrections officer at the very least.

They won't even let Rob use the bathroom, and that is only day 1. lol

I was impressed by how quickly they tore his story apart.

I don't understand how that jail show is real with all the cameras. Is it all secret cameras? and don't all people in jail need to sign waivers or have their faces blurred out?

They had a crew come in saying they were doing a documentary on first timers, collected signatures and interviewed actual inmates along with the plants. I still think it's funny claiming they're there to uncover anything when they can just monitor everything but it's entertaining.

Jail show is fun to watch and better then I would have thought. Rob is lol. sucks how other guy took the punishment for even wanting to help him and nothing yet to Rob. Im with you LBR. That poor mother of two and soft dude are gonna be doomed quick. I polarize my own mind when i think the inmates are smart for some of the structure they have, then so dumb for some of the things they do on tape.

60 Days In should have it's own thread , very compelling viewing , exactly what reality TV should be i.e. real.

It takes some real guts to volunteer for such a program and the participants seem not doing it for fame and attention but each has their own agenda to better their personal and professional lives through the experience. I am very impressed by Muhammed Ali's daughter who wants to use the ordeal to better help her in her job as a social worker.

Thursday nights on A&E

A show so new and under the radar it doesn't appear to have a wikipedia page yet! Don't be the guy that watches Making a Murderer in February and goes on reddit to post his theory and immediately gets downvoted to oblivion because that's the millionth time the same thing is posted. Get in on the ground floor!

This show uses the (sort of makes sense) assumption that the police can't properly evaluate the jails since they are too invested and biased - so instead they hire 7 innocent people and put them in jail to act as independent observers to let corrections know what they need to work on.

**Worried that the show might get cancelled so you don't want to get too invested...Don't Worry! It was renewed for a season 2 even before the first episode aired***

Me too but I don't get why they think he's a cop . A cop would never come up with a lame story that he ran a stop sign on an Interstate.
What really puzzles me is how he slipped through the screening process all the others seem to be dedicated to the program and have solid reasons to want to do it ,this guy seems like he's looking for some R&R with a big screen TV.

Watched the first 2 episodes yesterday, and yeah it's pretty damn good. Rob running into reality was to be expected, but I'm going to enjoy seeing him lose his ****. End of episode 2 showed some interesting action.

Apparently the show has already been renewed, so go nuts.

Soooo much filler and repetition but it's pretty compelling. I bet the inmates cant wait for the female producer to go in for interviews otherwise known as jerking off day for everyone.

the two part season opener was so good. I had a question though, in prison.. If you found out one of the inmates was an undercover cop.. Wouldn't attacking him be stupid? I would assume hes going to get treated like **** but they would never attack him.

If he was a cop that got arrested for something he would get pummeled, but if they thought he was undercover then maybe not but there would be people that wanted to test him and don't care if they got in trouble.

This is county jail anyway, not prison. People with 60 day or less sentences or waiting trial I believe would be in jail. So there is no lifers there that don't care about anything.

Ya, good point. I thought about that as well. This would be a way different environment if it were prison.

They seem to think he is undercover because they don't buy his arrest story. Which is my point. It seems like getting into a fight with an undercover cop would be stupid, even by these guys standards.

I haven't seen this yet but may look it up later..... As for you're 1st statement, if they think he's an undercover cop he better be careful & grow a extra pair of eye's & removable ears to leave in ppl cell's lol as all it would take is for someone to lose a bet or a respected gang member to give the word & he's getting it, not a murder ofc but just a good old slug fest.

Spoiler:
He should be checking his place like everytime he has a chance so no one can set him up. Which would 100% happen if they think hes a cop just to see what happens to him.

Watched the first 2 and it's pretty interesting so far. My question is why the hell would anyone do this? I wonder what they are getting paid. For me it would have to be a very big number and then still probably not!

Most are doing it for personal reasons, like to help them in their work, etc.
They are getting a small amount of money. I wouldn't do it for 20k.

The jail is getting 60k that they mostly use for upgraded cameras, etc.

Actually, they are relatively safe.. It is just a jail, cameras are always watching them and I am sure there are code words they can use to get removed immediately.

Concept is good, but I can't stand the way they repeat the same scene see over and over coming into and out of commercials. Seemed like we got like 10 mins of actual content out of 2 hrs of show.
