Also, the quiz should have had an Aaron Pierce question. Still no sighting this season.

again - the masses are not always correct! if that were the case we'd all be really looking for a man in the sky hehe! and if your #s are valid (i didn't double check) they show a 20% decrease in LOST from S1-S6 and nearly a 10% increase for 24. also i was talking about fan perception as well - from the looks of it in the small sample of the 2+2 ootv forums, it seems fair to say that most 24 fans are happy and most LOST fans are not.

It wasn't just a glasses disguise. It was glasses AND an accent. Foolproof, I tell you.

The point of the ratings post wasn't to say Lost is better (I haven't seen even a single episode of Lost.) Someone said that Lost has a cult following, implying that 24's following is more mainstream. The fact that Lost has better ratings says that theory is wrong.

good point - i guess LOST has both mainstream and culty fans.... but i'd also wager that a lot of fans are simply watching because they got "sucked in" and now are too deep not to finish. i know a lot of these people and have seen a bunch of them in the LOST threads. these people still watch and see commercials, etc, so their views are as good as any imo.

True story... I started watching from the beginning a couple months ago. I enjoyed the first 3 seasons and was kinda meh during the others but I just seem to keep watching to find out WTF is going on. I'd say I look forward to 24 much more week in, week out.

to me, a big difference between lost and 24 is that someone can decide to start watching 24 whenever and get into it. You could pick it up at the start of any season and be fine. Hell, you could start watching in the middle of most seasons and you'd be ok. with lost, its pretty unwatchable unless you start from season 1 and work through systematically. it may get more viewers than 24, but those viewers are also more cultish in their devotion.

This is very true. I convinced a friend of mine that he needs to watch 24 and after the first 4 episodes of this season he was hooked. I lent him my DVD's so he's watching it from the beginning while still watching this season as it airs but it's not hard to keep up with what's happening, just some minor spoilers here and there.

This only makes it more impressive that Lost has had better ratings throughout.

ok folks, having just watched it (eurolag lol), I'm surprised noone else thinks Meredith Reed palmed off the real memory card before getting taken in. She was looking around _seeing_ people about to take her in.

And, before she was arrested, there was a bell-hoppy-type person in the foreground who I can only imagine was there to draw our eye. I reckon she's palmed the information - and a $100 - on a bellhop who'll get the info out.

I know that's a bit out there as ideas go, but hey. It's a whole 2 hours next week.

Also killing everyone in the apartment but not the first guy after getting all the info, sigh.

^^ I really doubt that, the only angle I can see going for her character in the finale is
-Tons of crying and yelling.
-Empty threats that she knows the truth.
-Has no idea what Jack is planning when asked.
-Hasan's daughter realizes she told her the truth when she finds out she was arrested.
-Could or could not be killed off, really won't matter to the story if she is or not.

No matter how bad the lost finale could turn out, or how good 24 ends, 24 will never ever be better than lost.

in my opinion, LOST hasn't had a single moment that compares to any # of scenes from '24' and most LOST fans will tell you that the best scenes in the show ended after the S3 finale (which was pretty awesome).

ex: 24 - end of S1 - unreal. 1st ep of S2, first 15 minutes have your jaw dropped... there are so many others... a nuke exploding in the US? no way - but it happened on 24! killing presidents, killing anyone/everyone... 24 has simply had more "mind blowing" moments over the years imo. LOST has had some, but i feel that 24 has had more and better.
