I'd say it's like 90% that's supposed to be Iran. Not to mention the IRK is a powerful enough player in the region that this peace could hold throughout. Also has enough assets to place covert commandos inside of the US.

Another solid solid episode. Completely agree with how you feel about this season Vix. In fact:

Wow, this whole time I was under the belief they had actually said Hassan was the Iranian president when his character first came up.

No, it was revealed earlier.

In the beginning of episode 5:

BTW: This is the skyline of Cairo, Egypt.

did anyone else hate Jack a little bit for stopping Dana's water boarding?

maybe Jack and Cole could have taken turns water boarding her

Cole: "Jack! I said that's enough! Its my turn already!"

Jason called the Russian assassin.

Excellent episode - not sure if I agree it was one of the best ever, but after a real bad string of episodes the season has really picked up in recent weeks.

Kelly is wrong. Bauer would have caught him by hour 3, taken out his handlers in the tribal regions of Pakistan by hour 12, and been in China by hour 24 to destroy the emperor after identifying him as the mastermind of the plot.

I thought it was strange that Dana was able to handle the waterboarding (an outlawed and extremely feared torture technique that even the most hardened, fanatical combatants eventually crack with) relatively easily without giving up any information, but the second Bauer shouts at her and starts a countdown she instantly give in.

I mean what's he going to do if she doesn't give up the information? Kill her? He's gone rogue, they are in public and she is his only lead.

hmm.

Yup. If your only lead won't give you the info you need, may as well kill Dana. Jack is kinda win/win here.

That's because she knows Jack can do a lot better than that lame-ass waterboarding

...That actually sounded pretty morbid.

I wish I hadn't posted this.

It was what I felt at the time while watching that sequence before it became clear the reason she went along with Bauer was bc she knew she had the gun and flashbang type device stashed in the security deposit box and it was her only chance at a bid for freedom.

Not sure how I forgot this whole second part when I decided to try to sound clever posting the above.

And a man’s face, not to mention a man’s body with tits attached.

This brings me to another point, funny how Jack or Cole would drag her off alone and uncuffed, as if they could easily stop her in a fist fight; she is only 5 inches taller and twice as strong as either of them.
