Those double fissted backhands Dana was fed almost makes up for the 18 weeks we had to deal with her. Not as action packed as i had enticed however definitely sets the table for some drama as the series closes out. So as it stands Jack is America's most wanted and with nobody? to turn to....can't like his odds on this one even considering his history.

Can anyone make a .gif of Jack slamming Dana's face on the desk?

I was about 95% expecting Jack to live through this season. But after todays episode I could easily see him dying in the name of the truth, fighting for his country, etc. It's probably like 75/25 now that he lives imo.

The issue arisen is now justice vs peace as was made clear via the face off between jack and the president. Logan sold her on the idea of that greater good mumbo jumbo and she bought it, contrary to ethan's advice. Watching jack put his tail between his legs when allison forced him to say I understand was hard to swallow Bty where's the signature 'damn it' lines feeling a bit of withdrawal having not heard it in a while

This episode made no sense. Where is Jack going with the helicopter?

eh, thought this was all pretty dumb. President finds out Russians have double crossed her, and she still decides she wants to sign a treaty with them? wtf.

So I'm guessing the Drone Pilot Stalker Nerd, is the "inside source" that told Logan that Dana hasn't given up all the details? I hope they don't make Hastings the source but probably will.

Wouldn't the fact Taylor doesn't know be proof enough Dana didn't crack?

Maybe I missed something, but why didn't the President give Dana immunity, extract the information about the Russian involvement (without disclosing anything to them) and then just go ahead with the peace treaty anyway?

If the Russian involvement turned out to be serious (which it is, ldo) she could still decide to "uncover" it after the treaty had been signed and save face in the eyes of the world.

Edit: Also lol at how easy Bauer stole that helicopter. The guy has a history of going rouge and not taking orders that he doesn't agree with very well so they decide to escort him unhandcuffed with two fresh out of academy guards and a helicopter pilot who carries his gun unsecured in a holster hanging openly for Jack to grab. They then put their guns down after Jack threatens to kill the pilot, despite past experience indicating Jack would never in a million years kill the guy ("just an innocent man serving his country with two baby girls at home..) and then consider firing at the helicopter after he begins to cross the river into Manhattan only for Chloe to step in and try to convince him to stop (which will have a success rate of zero ldo) and leave the only option to call out the air force to force him down when he is an inexperienced pilot over one of the most densely populated places on the planet. hmm.

how Jack stole the helicopter is a weird thing to get all nitty on. he's not a criminal or anything, they have no reason to believe he'll be on the lam. also he has no history of disobeying the president. at least this one.

Not counting last season when he broke out of FBI with Tony or the time he tortured someone with a taser in the White House

I just fancied being nitty

You want to be nitty: They didn't even attempt to make travel time realistic last episode. Jack got from the hospital to the courtroom in one commercial break. It would take that long to get through security at a courhouse.

Then Jack got all the way back to CTU in just minutes. In a cab. In NY. In rush hour.

The President also. From the UN to CTU in less than 10 minutes?

I could be wrong (will go back and watch later) but Logan told his assistant or vice versa "my source at CTU said Dana hasn't cracked." when they were by the elevator. There would be no reason to say "source at CTU" if it isn't something having to do with a mole.

It just seems way too late in the (final)season for another small time mole/rogue employee story line, even for 24.

Edit: It is highly possible I am just reading to much into the comment but it seems his character hasn't made a reasonable impact on the season. 24 always make smaller regulars do something noticeable every season.

It's from the play, "Julius Caesar," not Julius Caesar, in case that interests you.
