By the way, how would deploying another team along with Freddie Prinz have helped? They ended up meeting at a new location, so I don't see how they would have been able to get there before the helicopter let alone also have time to search all of the surrounding buildings.

This show doesn't make any sense at all. From the predator drones flying all over NY with untested automatic missile shooting technology to Chloe somehow insta-hacking into a colleague's PC, it's not even funny. Of course, 24's tech never made any sense. That's not taking into account how the rest of the story is ridiculous.

But I'm still going to watch every episodes

ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME?!?! horrible writing. they learn about a conspiracy, identify a potential threat and "diffuse" it in 90 minutes?! what a joke. they are basically saying that they believe w/o doubt (w/o even a shred of doubt to follow one single other lead) that a PROFESSIONAL assassin/team of killers who can obv hack the goddamn UN database would be stupid enough to leave "frags" on a gd laptop?! seriously, my 7 year old cousin wouldn't pull a job so amateur. epic fail in this part of the plot. hopefully it gets better. soon.

also the blonde (future mrs freddy prinze although i'll lay 2:1 says she gets killed) is not attractive. seriously---she may have a decent bod, but she is un-attractive.

i was pretty disappointed by the first 2 eps, although there is promise. i hope they get better. i prob won't watch on most mondays but i'll watch at some point during the week.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I really feel like things moved slower in the earlier seasons.

Now, they're so busy trying to get 10 different story arcs into every season that there is never any suspense.

I'm glad to see the writers didn't waste time this season and introduced FPJr as a mini-Jack in waiting ready to take the spinoff show into an entirely different level of ridiculousness.

At least they've decided to change the plot for this season....

Jack 8,381,318,948,903 steps ahead of everyone else: always
So many story lines in the first couple of episodes that they are just setting up to confuse people and certainly have a ton of plotholes which every nit on here will point out: triple check mark
Oh last but not least someone on the inside very close to the President/one who is going to be killed but not who the viewer thinks it is but oh wait it's so completely obvious at this point that there's always that "double twist" which wore out it's surprise element after an epic season 1 finale that will never again be topped in the show's history

at any rate...for a premiere I'm pretty disappointed, but I will continue to watch just because of the badass axe scene and similar actions done by Jack that happen 4-5 times a season. Plus I've stuck around this long, I'm not going to miss Jack Bauer's swan song.

I've waited too long to not see Jack Bauer die like a hero, IMO. 8 years is too long.

I enjoyed the episode. My expectations of 24 are pretty low; give me a couple Bauer kills, some torture, and ******edly predictable plot twists with some corny dialogue and hammy acting and I'll be happy.

24 is the best. Fistpumped the axe kill. Definitely up there with the best of.

I know it's nothing new but the liberties taken with respect to the "Events occur in real-time" are so awesome. They are already sweeping the apartment and coming up with the UN files like 5 minutes after finding out who the suspect was.

It's like the show has become a parody of itself. But it's still so entertaining. The production value on this show just crushes everything else and Bauer is so damn badass.

the scene b/t Jack and Kim goodbye, makes it so that the audience will cry when Jack dies at the end. He saved the world, but in reality only really wanted to be a grandpa. SAD really...

Great start, Same twists, same idiot in charge plot, same the small details don't make sense but great Jack lines, great Jack kills, Jack getting to act on his own, likely good sidekick, good music and action.

There is always an awesome kill in the early episodes to give you hope for the season, but then you slowly realize that the writer's don't know what they're doing. See 2(?) seasons ago when Jack Bauer went lost boys on his captors' ass.
