I have solved it. Jack is killed in the finale of this season, ending 24 as we know it. But Jack is saved by Skynet, and becomes a human hunting cyborg intent on exterminating humans who survive Judgment day, thus starting:

1)What's wrong with the girl who plays Dana W...JENNY? Both me and the other person who I know that watches thinks she doesn't look 100% right, but can't put our finger on it.

2)Can anyone remember all the other bad CTU-side plots from years past? This year is Dana-Jenny, Season 2 was Michelle's brother-coworker, season 3 had Chase's kid, SEason 4 had the bosses suicidal daughter, etc...

Lynn McGill's sister from Season 5. Can't remember much of season 6, but Morris's AA sponsor I guess.

how about wayne palmer's sister's husband going undercover in prison and then getting the f***nuts beat out of him? i think that was the all time worst sub-plot in any show ever.

S1 of 24 was still unreal and the first 15 minutes of S2 blow your mind away. no one can take that from me

from S2-now, the show has its ups and downs... S4 in particular was pretty sweet (haBib marwan) and one of the seasons was awful (5 or 6 maybe?)

this season looks promising now imo... not great, but promising

Morris's AA plot wasn't that long at all, not as long as Jack's smack addiction (which he kicked pretty quick once the writers realized how going through withdrawals all season would be lame.

5-6 were a low point in the series, now I consider 24 less intense drama and more Arnold 80's action (Commando especially) where one guy just goes crazy blowing dudes away in insane fashion

there is no way season 5 is a low point, President Logan is one of the greatest villains ever, and Jack getting on the plane and the plane almost getting shot down was epic. And then Heller drives off the cliff!!!! that was so awesome

OK guys, there is only one winner for worst 24 subplot ever and that is Erin Driscoll's autistic daughter in Season 4.

Close runner-up for me is Teri Bauer's bout with amnesia in S1.

Holy smokes, I've completely forgotten about some of those horrible subplots as I've erased them from my mind completely. This new one with Jenny and her ex bf or whatever is just killing me inside. That and having the president back from last season was a major fail. She almost singlehandedly make me want to quit 24 forever, she was that bad. Had me in tears how awful that was.

I'd put the two hour amnesia higher, since the show tried to be semi-real then. Dricoll's daughter is the worst CTU related one though.

Hated that whole turn. He was a weak crybaby season 4-some of season 5, then BAM supervillian. Jack's brother/dad being EVVVVIL was so lolbad.
