Have they even used it for the past couple seasons? I never saw it this season besides the finale.
They haven't used that for a while. They used it in season 1 and maybe season 2. I don't think they've used it since then.

they also used it in Redemption according to 24.wikia.com. I actually liked it a lot, made me more pumped for the finale, it was just a reference to the start for all the long time fans imo.

And hemstock, we all know that there's a lot to nitpick about but if you want a realistic, perfectly logically written show, 24 isnt the right thing for you 24 is (or was ) about Jack Bauer pwning everything and sometimes pretty exciting story-lines.

eh?

Wasn't Redemption a prequal to season 7?

What does it have to do with a finale that no one knew was coming when it aired?

Well they used it in the beginning to stress the fact that it's all real time.

Then, I guess, they used it in Redemption which was the prequel to season 7 to tell the viewer that its real time from now on, Redemption starts with scenes from the previous day:

Quote:
24: Redemption has a prologue showing a group of children being drafted into Juma's army the previous day, followed by the traditional 24 title and opening narration.
Then, to make the last 2 episodes of 24 "special", they use it again, just for fun I guess and to pump the long-time fans who remember it... (I was celebrating when it came )

Using it in the finale was extremely awesome and a good nod to long term fans.

Anyone nit picking that aspect is absurd.

It's extremely nitty, but I like it. I can't help but point out all that stuff when I watch, despite the fact that I love the show.

I almost wish it never came to NYC, because it made me realize just how far off the driving distances were (if anything is happening at the U.N., forget about it, traffic is not moving anywhere in Manhattan).

I had noticed this in season7 as a DC resident. Mostly found it funny.

Just watched the last 4 episodes tonight. This is nittacular but it's so obvious to me I'm wondering if they left it in on purpose.

Whichever episode is 1-2pm, Chloe is showing Cole something on her cell phone and its around 1:50pm. The cell phone says its 12:36pm. Then the camera angle changes for about 30 seconds, we go back to the phone, and its like 12:45pm.

/nit

Just marathoned the whole season with some friends. Was a really fun and enjoyable watch especially the second half with lots of sweet twists and jack going all gung ho one man army.

Are you implying that the events aren´t really in real time??
Or that may be continuity errors in this show??

SHOCKING
