did anyone time how long Jack's sexytime lasted? I'm quite sure there was a timing gaff there but not sure. A lot happened in the episode, it seemed rather quick.

Would've been funny if the producers put that in as a gag where Jack started undressing as the cliffhanger and then started putting on his clothes as the next episode begins.

i was referring to whom in your opinion? Surely not that butch Dana, her screen time is over. Look it, I ain't dissing Chloe but come on her awkward shtick is 'cute' (to put it nicely; perhaps tolerable maybe better suitable) in limited doses. On the subject of sex appeal all I'm saying is that the killing of Renne displeases me for obvious reasons. Maybe somebody is escaping me, but Hassan's daughter and Chloe are the only two chicks left.

Me too, the man's saved 3 presidents from getting killed, stopped 7+ nukes, a biological virus spreading throughout the US, and stopped WW3 a few times- can't the man walk off into the sunset happy?

Indeed, who would cry on his dead body ?
Anyone but Chloe would be awful.

I am surprised there is no more prop bets about Jack's death.

I don't think Jack will die. It could be an ambiguous ending where we don't know either way. But I'd be kind of surprised if he got killed since that would more or less also kill any chance of a movie in the future. Then again there aren't many characters left for a movie. Jack and Chloe are about the only regulars still standing. Well, Kim, but hopefully she dies.

I think the ending will be similar to the ending from the original crank. In the last few minutes of hour 24, Jack suffer's a heart attack or some other mortal wound, is rushed into the hospital only to die on the operating table, with the final few seconds of countdown replaced by the resurgence of his heartbeat on the monitor.

I guess when they saw Chloe pull a gun on a federal agent they knew she was a straight shooter that had to be promoted to running the place.

She's got upper management written all over her.

Going back through season 1 over yesterday and today since I never got around to watching the 2nd half of it. Just getting to Teri's amnesia plot now, can't wait!

Wayne witnessed David Palmer's death, not Sherry. Jack saw Teri shortly after she was killed, but didn't see it happen.

I'm rewatching season 1 also. Up to episode 11.

* The presidential (well, Senatorial, I guess) sub-plot (did the son kill someone) was incredibly lame.

* While I praised the pace before, it seems to be getting slower. Kim has been at the compound since sunrise and nothing has really happened there.

* Jack is so much more human here. He even fell asleep a few episodes ago. He even talks like an actual person, instead of having two volume levels--yelling and whispering (I actually had to turn on close captioning in the most recent NY episode because I couldn't make out what he was mumbling.)

* Nina was really cute. Her turn made absolutely no sense, though.

* The technology is so ancient back then.

Just started watching the season.

Guess the first 'insider' his brother was in on it and knew the blonde wasn't in on it.

Away to start episode 4.

Agree with all of this. Also the story is really taking it in the ass starting with the last 8 hours or so. All of these storylines suck balls.

I'd always ranked season 1 as by far the best. But I'm not so sure now. And I haven't even gotten to Teri's amnesia. IIRC, episodes 13-20 or so really drag as they can't figure out anything to do.

Tony would be the only character we care about who could kill him.

Well, maybe Aaron Pierce also, but I can't see Pierce turning bad.

Has 24 honestly ever had a truly great storyline? All 8 seasons, it's just been make Jack suffer, cool action scene, make Jack suffer, Jack does a cool move, make Jack suffer, kill off big character, make Jack suffer, ZOMGMOLE, make Jack suffer, cliff-hanger, cliff-hanger, ZOMGCLIFFHANGER!!! Virtually every 24 story in history has been nonsensical, pointless, or boring.

It's not the stories that keep us watching, it's just the fact that Jack Bauer kicks major ass. The writers sure as hell can't write, but they know a good action hero when they see one

Yeah seems like 24 features Jack owning and subplots that range from tolerable to idiotic.

I would prefer not having Aaron Pierce in this season to having him turn bad. He's probably my 3rd favorite 24 character ever.
