No way. The cougar encounter is given like no air time. The Johnny Drama sub plot that comes right after it is much worse.

It took about 25 minutes from the time she got caught till the cougar left. It was on screen for about 2 minutes IIRC. (The cougar did legit scratch Cuthbert's hand, so we had a pointless storyline that hurt an actor)

Re-watching season 1 now. The pacing is great. They didn't feel the need to save the world every episode.
