I usually hate Dom episodes, but last night wasn't bad. The ex-con boyfriend subplot seems idiotic, but the axe kill and amputation were excellent.

Basic recipe for the 24 hours:

Hour .2: Jack reflecting on life, about to sign the papers on his retirement home
Hour .3: Pulled back in
Hours 1-3: Searching for the bad guy who isn't close to the real bad guy for the season, nobody believes Jack's theories on the real plot
Hours 4-6: Suck
Hours 7-10: Jack temporarily dies, is revived
Hour 11: Jack is fully functional
Hour 12: Bad Kim subplot
Hour 13-17: Jack goes rogue
Hour 18: Tony/Aaron/some other random from Season 3 shows up
Hour 19: That person dies
Hour 20-22: True plot is revealed
Hour 23: President releases Jack from prison after realizing his/her mistake
Hour 24: Jack saves the world, gets the girl that he'll lose before the next season

god damn. watching the episode for the second time, these fake new york accents are driving me nuts. half of the time they forget to to the accent!! if they could stay in character, fine, but the asian cop and ortiz both fail hard at fake accents

boyfriend subplot is ******ed. he obv met some people in jail and is part of the ultimate ultimate ultimate plan of this season that will be revealed when the next two plans get solved but they were really only distractions to the major plan. he will probably blackmail jenny and she will follow along, but at the end she'll fight back and admit her lies and save america and she will be allowed to keep her job despite her unknown past.

The worst was the cop in the alley, it was brief but long enough to conclude it was horrible. Geography has also been a big fail.

To the LA people, were there this many blatant discrepancies in the first six seasons?

This doesn't make sense to me. Did you mean he's too slow or Chloe is too slow with new technology elsewhere? She seems so badass on the CTU computers that I can't fathom this.

I don't live in LA, but yes. The correct way to watch this show is to ignore any and all real time screwups. Just enjoy the awesomeness, people.

i haven't watched the past couple seasons cuz they suck, but what i gather is this.

she was working at ctu los angeles. her husband xferred to new york. chloe went with him, but didn't work. her husband was laid off, so chloe began working at ctu new york. she was a bit behind in the technology and they use different systems and software than ctu LA did so she was slow and unable to use the new technology well. basically it's just a storyline, and doesn't matter if it attempts to be realistic in the least.

It puts me on such tilt whenever the local PD gets in Jack's way. Arrrgh, I can't stand it.

It's more implausible that Morris can't find a job. The time gap between season 6 (CTU dismantling) and season 7 is about a year. And season 8 is several months after that. The new CTU is built like a spaceship so it's likely there has been systems upgrades.

You guys need to see punisher 2 then watch 24. The guy who shot the rocket is in punisher 2 which was one of the most ridiculous movies I have ever seen.
