In about 4 days, January 17th, 2010. Season 8 of 24 will begin on Fox 9/8C.

This thread needs to be made because Jack Bauer saves America every year from terrorists attacks. We all need to support Jack Bauer by watching every hour of his day combating scums, and saving the country.

Oh yea, his daughter (Elisha Cuthbert) is probably why this show is awesome besides the Jason Bourne moves.

Word has it this might be the last season of show, so /cry.

Let the discussion begin what race is the new terrorists!

Last season were the Americans, which was kinda dumb. I want to see Russian terrorists again, please. They are badass.

Considering this could be the last season (possibly with a movie after that), what do you guys think is the logical series ending? I just always assumed Jack would die, but I'm not sure that's a satisfying ending unless he dies saving Kim/the president/whoever. It's a weird potential finale because it's not like they've built towards anything; every season is basically independent, so there's no real continuous, multi-season storyline. On the other hand, they're obviously not going to end the show like any other random season. Is there something they could do besides killing Jack that would be shocking and/or satisfying?

a good twist would be for the mom to come back as the super-villain. What would Jack do? Watch his wife die again?

It happened in Prison Break, it can happen in 24!

Last season had kick ass Tony, it was good until Fox decided not to put the finale on hulu.

I may boycott this year because of it, who wants to watch hours 1-23 and then miss the end?

This show has jumped the shark - I heard he eats some bad Mexican food and spends the whole day on the can...

(Cell phone conversation)
"Jack, Jack - are you ok?"
"Unnnnnhhhh!!!"
"Oh my god, they're torturing him!"
"Stay strong Jack - who's doing this to you?"
"Mm... Mexican"
[hand over phone - whispers] "He says it's the Mexicans"
"We'll be there as soon as we can, I'm trying to get a fix on your location"
[Splash as phone drops into toilet]
"I lost the call, it sounds like they're trying to drown him."

I don't believe so. It never showed up in my 24 Q, and they started replaying season 1

This is going to disrupt my attempt to finish up Lost before Season 6 starts so I might just DVR the first 2 weeks worth of episodes so I can continue my Lost pace.
