Yeah basically. Looked like version 1.0 of Becca's chip since she was heavily involved in Alleggis.

I have a feeling the tec wasn't really ready. Like the chips they used on everyone in season 3 they started to loose full memory, this was x10. After the dad flipped and killed his family he rushed to make the chip work and get family's mind in them. Basically the best I can tell all the royal people are actually the original family's not their relatives. Anytime a night blood shows up, which seems to be a recessive trait they wait till they are 21 and then take over their body/mind.
