Can someone or multiple people pm me and tell me if the last season is worth watching?

I heard it was bad.

Am wondering if I should just let it go.

IMO, you miss nothing of value if you skip the last season. I guess there's the closure aspect, but large chunks of it were meh at best.

There were a lot of production issues with the final season of The 100, most notably resulting in
Spoiler:
a main character being absent from the majority of the season
as well as what seemed to be obvious significant rewrites to some of the characters arcs and plot lines. In my opinion, your enjoyment of the final season would be based on what you enjoy about the show.

If you like the sci-fi stuff, and if you have a very low bar for suspension of disbelief, there is some fun to be had. If you're into the show because of the characters and their stories, well, you're probably not going to find much enjoyment as it is a bit of train wreck. However, if you're into the show because you think it's ridiculous and hilarious, than you'll probably find great enjoyment in how the show's characters yet again manage to **** everything up when they end up in another new place.

The season features
Spoiler:
time travel/time dilation, and aliens (sort of), and centers around a conflict with a civilization of humans from Bardo, another planet like Sanctum, that are fanatic about preparing for a possible future war against an unknown alien adversary. They are very heavy-handed with comparing and contrasting this society's way of life with the "100's" desire to be better and less violent.
Additionally, a lot of questions are answered about the lore/history of show's universe and there's a backdoor pilot episode for a The 100 prequel in there too.

It felt as if there were two different shows that they tried to smush together for the final season and neither of them were good. Overall, if you're into the show for the turn your brain off fun you'll find it entertaining, but if you're here for any sort of reasonable sci-fi, or if you like the CW-drama, than you probably will not enjoy the final season too much.

Minor Spoiler, but I think it will sum up if you will find the season enjoyable or not --

Spoiler:
This society of technologically advances humans living on another planet do literally nothing else but train for a future war that they think is coming. Throughout the season, Octavia, Echo, and Diyoza kill so many of them, and so effortlessly, that this society decide that they need to recruit the three of them to be their competitive advantage for this possible war. I found it very entertaining and hilarious when the three women predictably double-cross these idiots and rack up an even higher body count.

Major Spoiler (We're talking last few minutes of the show), but again will show you the tone of the season ---
Spoiler:

The characters struggle with their violent pasts all season, and a big theme is them trying to use their words but continuing to have to kill everyone. If it wasn't so funny seeing them continue to resort to violence, this **** would be annoying with how thick they pour it on.

With that, and at the end of the season, an alien race that's seemingly ethereal is literally judging humanity on if we're too violent to join them or not. If they deem us not worthy, or too violent, they wipe us out from the universe with a snap of their fingers. Only one person is allowed to take the verbal(?) test for all of humanity, and while this person is taking the test, again all about peace and unity, Claire shoots them in the ****ing head right in front of the alien judge. It's played for laughs and is no big deal.

I'd say watch it! So bad, it's good!

I am a fan so I say watch it. There are massive issues but I still enjoyed it. I have it above season 6 and 3 honestly. Watch the episode Anaconda if you want to skip the season, it is a backdoor pilot and really give context for grounders as whole. Also solves so of the nitpicks people have with the grounders evolving the way they did in only 100 years.

im rewatching the 100 lol

and in the first episode watching clarke first set foot on the planet earth i was crying lol... just thinking about what a hero she is, and all the crazy **** she is going to go through

also, jfc that river scene in the first episode is so awful...

octavia jumping in the water even though she doesn't know how to swim. and the giant creature biting her in a way should be insta dead, but she ends up having a wound not even as bad as if a chihua chihua bit her

and the vine rope they made... that you can see is just a normal rope from home depot, but production wrapped it up in fake leaves and vines, don't even bother trying to fully conceal it lol

and jasper getting speared in the heart and knocked back like 20 feet, impaled by a gigantic ****ing spear right in the ****ing heart! lol! and then he is totally fine lmao

It took a few episodes to hit its stride. I always laughed at the CW pretty make up the first few episodes. It really is the best CW show ever. Some seasons were meh storylines but honestly there are great episodes every season. The ending was a bit too happy imo. Season 2 and 4 are as good as CW gets though.

Forgot about this thread. Looks like the prequel is not happening, at least not on the CW. Maybe it gets picked up elsewhere though, as I think it's done well via streaming.

Season 7 episode called Anaconda was the backdoor pilot. Was going to be grounder origin story starting 5 years after the bombs.

That sucks. CW can go float themselves.

Holding out hope netflix picks it up. They have all CW shows after the season is up so they know the ratings on them
