HIJACKS - You can not compete with the Original Poster of each thread - even if they are absent for a length of time or are done with that thread.
It is that person's thread.
Your dealings are with that person.
Otherwise you risk deleted posts, infraction points and temp-bans.
Hijacks have been a source of many of the scams in this sub-forum.
Suspicious PMs and e-mails - Anybody receiving a PM (or e-mail) that does not seem 'right' should forward it, in confidence, to one or more of the active moderators itt.
Attempts by someone unknown to make deals without any posting are very unsafe and not allowed.
If in doubt, just forward the PM. We will evaluate it and let you know.
Posting e-mails, skype, AIM, etc
Posting your email address or any IM address (skype, AIM, MSN etc) is generally not a good idea in a public forum. You are advertising this contact information to a sea of scammers just waiting for a way to make contact.

PayPal - PayPal usage is not allowed. It is easily reversible by the sender at a far later date. Also it is against PayPal policy. See this.
Dormant and **Closed** Threads
Please refrain from bumping any dormant threads. That is, a thread that has not had a response from the OP in quite some time (say 2 weeks or more). Try to find a more recent thread that is more appropriate for your post in order to keep the front page current with more recent items.
Threads that have a **CLOSED** or **SOLD** tag on them should not be bumped. The exceptions are when a scam or problem has occurred as a result of a transaction that occurred in that thread.
Bumping Your Own Thread
Everyone wants to keep their thread on the first page - why wouldn't you?
Unfortunately there may not be room on the first page for all active threads.
Please refrain from bumping your thread more than once every 48 hours.
If after several bumps your thread still gets no interest - please allow it to die. Excessive bumping will be judged at the discretion of a moderator. You may of course bump your thread to answer any relevant questions or to post new information.
