Wow, I didn't know it was so obvious that nobody was interested from 2+2. That's pretty f*cking amazing seeing as how I have had PMs and IM conversations that say otherwise. You are not privy to the facts, sir. You are simply ignorant. Granted, your post is well written, but you don't know what you are talking about. Put another way, you're good at writing pretty horsesh*t.

If nobody on 2p2 is willing to pay your asking price - guess what - they arent worth your asking price on 2p2. If, on the other hand, people are paying what you want on ebay - guess what again - you should post them there instead. I love how you call it idiotic logic, yet obviously do not understand it in the least bit yourself. Wonder where that leaves your level of intelligence...
Oh, there's no need to repeat yourself. I heard your idiocy the first time. And the second.

Here's the thing.
1. I have garnered some interest from 2+2. Sorry, but your "obvious" statement really isn't as obvious as you think. That's why they are called Private Messages, so busybody @ssholes like you don't know about them.
2. I have listed one on eBay. In fact, it's up right now.
3. I have gotten several emails from other eBayers wanting to do a deal for one or two passes. Generally, the offers start @ $300. Those contacts, like the 2+2 contacts are a work in progress.
4. Your input was after I listed in both places, so your advice is as unnecessary as it is unwelcome.

Do us both a favor and mind your own business. You don't have the intellectual chops to hang with me on your best day, and you don't have even half the facts that you would need to offer anything useful here. Why don't you wander on back to the kiddie table and leave the adults to themselves?

Must be why this thread is still going. Some solid offers... 8 days in and no takers, yep your prices sure are working for ya. There is a difference between an offer and a deal. Figure it out.

You called it obvious, and now you are saying it isn't as obvious as I think? Which is it, make up your mind. You certainly need it repeated multiple times because you still can't seem to wrap your little mind around such a simple concept. Interest from 2p2? Not at the prices you want idiot. Do yourself a favor and tuck your tail between your legs, sell them on ebay at your "fair market value" prices, and run along like the good little kid you are.

I am dying to know what possesses you to jump into a thread like this. All I did was bump my ad as I am allowed to do, then suddenly, you jump in for no apparent reason. Are you personally offended that I have this ad? Are you looking for some kind of discount that you haven't bothered to let me know about? In short, what business is it of yours to even post here? Do you enjoy being a busybody, know-it-all @sshole just for kicks or what?

I have to admit that I am getting enough interest from the eBay side of this that I could just as easily let this thread go away, but I am genuinely curious about what makes you tick. Same thing for robert and gaffon. It's not like I asked for a price that was way out of line, regardless of what those two mental midgets might think. I am not trying to rip people off. So, why then, do you feel the need to spew your opinion when nobody cares what you think, especially about a subject where you have no particular interest in any case? Does the fact that this thread exists make you cry yourself to sleep at night, or what?

Selling these is expressly against SWA policy. Not that SWA will find out you sold/bought the passes, but if they did, your passes would be voided and the originating employee disciplined.

All i mentioned was that you should go ahead and throw them on ebay, as you bumped multiple times and the same issue happened every time - ppl werent going to pay what you considered a fair price. This is the 2nd two-paragraph tirade you have posted itt - the first was your out of nowhere response to my very simple suggestion. Chill out kid, dont take it out on me that nobody wants to pay your ridiculously high prices.

these are very high prices for buddy passes. i just bought non-standby tickets on craigslist for 200 RT. i already have a seat and my flight is guaranteed.

gaffon,

You said earlier that you were sorry for flooding this thread. Did something change? Did you somehow get the notion that anybody actually gives a sh*t what you have to say? If you have some reasonable example of why these tickets are overpriced, then I'm all ears, but I have offered my evidence (eBay completed auctions) already, and it pretty much shames whatever little chickensh*t example you came up with earlier. Try to compare apples to apples next time, bacause you just wound up looking stupid when you make that pathetic case you did before.

Better yet, go offer up your uninformed, unsolicited opinions in a strategy thread or something. I'm sure people are just dying to know what you think there.
All you do is trash talk anyone who considers this price unacceptable.
If you so sure about selling them on ebay for what you are asking, why not just list them there and sell?
At this price it is not a favour you making to anyone except urself.

if they are expiring soon, then that seems about right (or maybe even a tad expensive).

if they are expiring in a year+, you got a great deal

Update. I only have one buddy pass left. One is up for auction now on eBay, and the other 2 have sold.

I have mentioned several times on here that I would offer these tickets to 2+2ers for what I considered the market price as defined by eBay. Given that, the price is going up.

The last one is no longer available for FTP or PS. It is strictly cash, via Paypal. The new price is $350.

This is based on the fact that I have sold 2 for $335 and $349, and I could very easily have gotten $10 or $15 more in either case. Also, the one up for auction now is sitting at $355 with 16 hours left. Another one (not mine) up for auction has a bid of $350 as well, right now. Additionally, another ticket (not mine) sold earlier this week for $345 at auction. Lastly, I have been getting 3 or 4 emails a day from that eBay ad with people making offers. In short, there is no shortage of buyers, and given the bull***** I've had to deal with ITT, I am in no mood to do anybody any favors.

Anyway, there it is. I am not expecting any offers here, but you never know. In all likelihood, I'll just dump the last one on eBay and move on. No doubt the busybody mafia will have a ball with this post.

If you're going to do us the favor of selling here, it would be reasonable for one to expect you to discount the tickets by the ridiculously high eBay and PayPal fees you'd have to pay.

im not taking sides, im a little old for that but it just doesn't seem to me your going to get 350 for this RT buddy pass. I got to book 6 months in advance for regulaur tickets for the same price, check your local craigslist.

steel,

I did not mean that the two that had already sold were to 2+2 posters. Both of those sales were from eBay bidders who had emailed me through the one that is up for auction now. In that auction, I mentioned that I had a few more available, so people just started emailing with questions, offers or whatever.

Anyway, on Tuesday, I had an eBay generated email saying that she needed to fly out on Thursday. Since it was such short notice, I told her the price would be $349 including overnight shipping to Houston. She agreed during aphone coversation, so I immediately listed a private auction for her. Her screen name is adawdy. If you care to see the deal, search for her screen name in the completed auctions on eBay. Anyway, while on the phone with here, I listed a quickie ad, she bought it, shipped the $ via Paypal, and 10 minutes later, I was out the door headed for the Fedex place down the street.

The next day, jayson818 emailed needing a BP in a hurry because he is flying out on Monday from Columbus to Nashville. He had previously sent me an unsolicited offer of $300 like everbody else and their dog, and I had turned him down. A couple days went by, and he started to realize that maybe he should bump his number. I told him that the Buy It Now ads routinely sold for $349, but I would list one for him at $335 with 2 day USPS Priority since he didn't need his as urgently as Ashleigh had needed hers. Anyway, he quickly agreed (also during a ohone conversation), and I proceeded to list a private ad for him like I had done for the other one. Again, search for jayson818 if you want to see that ad.

In either case, I could have gotten a little more if I twisted them a little since they were in such a hurry. I didn't think that was right so I settled on the $335 number because that is what I had originally listed here. The reason i got $349 from the first one is that her shipping was going to $25 or so for overnight, whereas 2 day Priority is $5.70 with tracking and delivery confirmation.

Lastly, the auction ad that I mentioned at $355 is up right now with 1 hour and 15 minutes or so left. It has 7 bids from 3 bidders. I am somewhat concerned that the high bid right now just started his account this month and has bid in nothing else. I am kinda thinking that it is just another attempt by the busybody @ssholes in this thread to sabotage my sale. In any case, the previous high bidder had thrown out a bid of $350, so I can get this thing sold regardless of how it works out with the current hi bid guy.

Anyway, I am sorry if I caused any confusion earlier. I have had some pretty serious nibbles from 2+2ers but no buyers. I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to clarify. This thread already has enough lying douchebags already. I am OK with having a reputation for being a profane loudmouth, but at the very minimum, I am always honest, unlike a few others ITT.

gaffon,

You can find the information you are looking for in the post right above this one. Do the search yourself. Also, feel free to go f#ck yourself.

Lol at you acting like gaffon is a bad guy here. These things go for 225-315 on numerous regional airlines. I came into this thread expecting such. This is like asking people to pay $800 for unlocked iPhones. Just because some people pay that (******ed), and others list it as buy it now, does not mean that's the market value. 2p2 marketplace is not for people like you marking up things ridiculously that probably fell in their lap in the first place.

BTW, gaffon is a stand up guy who wouldn't lowball people as far a I know. I've done site transfers with him before.

What is it with all of this apples vs. oranges comparison going on in this thread. you're a deluded as robert is.

1. Southwest Airlines is hardly "regional". Any airline that can get you from Spokane to Tampa or LA to Boston is not "regional".
2. The fact that some people pay that much is what defines the market. That's how capitatlism works. Whether the price is ******ed or not is really for the highest bidder to decide.
3. LOL at all the people that think that craisglist or any other regional site defines the market. It's almost as stupid as comparing SWA to a "regional" airline.
4. Not that it is any of your business, but I earned these passes fair and square. Nothing fell into my lap.
5. Since you seem to know so GD much, what is the 2+2 marketplace for? Should I have massively underpriced these passes to make you happy? The fact that I even bothered to offer them here at all is evidence of my good will.

Further, the auction that I was talking about ended about a half hour ago at $360.00. He paid withing 5 minutes of the auction ending. Taken in addition to the other two that have already sold, I'm averaging $348 each. In my earlier posts I mentioned the Buy It Now ads at $349 and the best offers coming it at $339 all day long on eBay. All of you whining crybabies that thought I was trying to cheat you need to grow a clue.

If you don't like the prices, don't buy. Whining like a bunch of bitchy little girls isn't going to change what the asking price is.
07-17-2009 , 06:43 PM
the thing is that i have a feeling, none of us (if your including me in your post above) were every really interested in your buddy passes but in the mere argument alone.
07-17-2009 , 07:50 PM
I was moderately interested considering people offer DEALS in the marketplace. Ups.
07-17-2009 , 07:52 PM
Assuming the market rate on ebay is $350, shouldn't you list them cheaper here since by avoiding ebay you avoid paying the fees that are associated with selling on there?
