So what you're saying is that you were just sticking your nose into my business just to be an @sshole? OMG, color me shocked. And here I thought you were a beacon of honesty.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate it when a snivelling douche like yourself jumps into my ad and proceeds to tell everybody how I am trying to rip them off, especially when every single thing I have ever said in here is verifiable and true.

I especially loved your example of a ticket you bought on craigslist when you gave no details whatsoever. That's great evidence when you don't say where the ticket flies to/from or when or what airline or anything else that someone would use to assign a fair value to it. We'll just have to take your word for it, seeing as how you had a grand total of 4 posts at the time from an account you started just this month. Further, even if you did manage to get a great one time deal in a limited craigslist market, that doesn't have anything to do with what a fair market price would be for those tickets.

I offered them for $335 originally. At this point, I don't care to go that low. I'd rather just eat a couple bucks worth of fees than do anybody any favors on here. If you're interested at $350 via Paypal, PM me. Otherwise, I'm just going to do my own thing.

Well, we can't all be 22 year old, blue eyed studs chasing after internet strippers. You're just special, I guess.

BTW, since you're being so helpful, how about sharing some those deatail on this mystery flight that ytou are so proud of. They, after all, would be most helpful to other card players in this *****ty economy, no?

You seem like a tool and I would rather pay full price than do any business with you.

Agree with all previous posters who said it before me, I better pay extra versus giving business to a douche bag like you.
also feel free to entertain the option you recommended to me above.

5. Since you seem to know so GD much, what is the 2+2 marketplace for? Should I have massively underpriced these passes to make you happy? The fact that I even bothered to offer them here at all is evidence of my good will.
It's pretty much for 2p2ers getting rid of **** they dont need to fellow poker players. That's why they dont let people sell **** that is typically a rip-off.
07-18-2009 , 11:22 AM
i didn't want to say it but this is a rip off, you can find better deals on orbitz for ****s sake.

**** ebay btw.

Mods,

Please close this thread. All of the passes have been sold and paid for on eBay.

dacarter,

Here's your link, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=280374002802 . Scroll down beneath the description stuff if you have doubts.

so in the end, you did nothing but prove us right. what you could not get for them on 2p2, you got on ebay - just what many people suggested you do from the start. you wasted your time, made yourself look like a complete idiot, and took 16 days to sell them. bravo, moron. bravvvvvo.

Whatever, dude. Look at the 3rd post in the thread. I said that I was going to list them on eBay if I didn't get any takers here long before you ever stuck your nose in. However difficult it may be for you to believe, I did not need your advice then any more than I need it now.

hey kid whatever you need to tell yourself to sleep at night. all i did was say go ahead and do it, because you were not going to get your ridiculous prices on a forum full of smart people. so yes, you wasted your time, you obviously needed my advice because before i gave it you were still grasping at the hopes of selling them on 2p2 (which I knew was not going to happen and you were in complete denial about) to avoid the oh-so-high ebay fees, and took 16 days to sell something that you claimed were such a hot commodity! so again, bravo to you sir.

Why do so many people come into others threads and throw dirt? Do you walk around Wal-Mart telling their customers that the prices are wrong? If you don't want to buy something then don't buy it but shut up and let the sellers try to sell something.

But if you were walking around Wal-mart and you came across an everyday low price sign listing a 12 pack of bic ball point pens for $3 million... wouldn't you inform someone of the mistake?

This is like seeing pens at ~5% more than market value (he's asking $335 when he would normally get ~$320 from ebay after fees, etc.) and complaining to management about the price. Hating on marketplace threads makes others less likely to make them, which hurts you in the long run. There are so many threads made in marketplace that get 0 responses because they aren't good deals or nobody's interested in, and therefore fall off the main page very quickly. Hating on the OP is ******ed imo.

Damn, for all the garbage I've caught in this thread, I am so tempted to list a 12 pack of Bic Ball Point Pens for the low low price of $12 million right now. Hell, I might even knock off a hundred grand if someone asks real nice.

FWIW, I always knew there was some small premium offering these at $335 here. I figured if the fees on eBay roll in between $25 and $30 and I could sell the passes on there for $350, I'd net $320 to $325 before Paypal fees. The benefit I had in mind for the 2+2 buyer is that at $335, they save $10 or $15 a ticket and I'd make about that much more than I would have once eBay fees were figured in selling at $350 gross.

Additionally, I would have come down a little below the $335 as well. I have never once seen a thread on 2+2 where people didn't consistently want to lowball everything, so I gave myself a little wiggle room to move if a deal presented itself, especially if someone wanted to buy more than one. Although, I did have some PM nibbles at the $335 figure, a 2+2 deal never really materialized, so I decided to go to plan B, eBay.

One thing that I haven't mentioned before this is that every one of the people that bought these passes either already has or will save around $200 or so at the minimum. Three of them have already flown, and at the rates they were looking at paying for last minute fares, they saved a ton. If I had to guess, I'd say that altogether the 4 people who bought the passes will wind up saving in the neighborhood of $1000-$1200 collectively. The value in these things has always been the ability to go anywhere SWA goes with no restrictions, no blackouts, and no need to book months in advance. One of the most irritating things about this thread has always been the constant apples vs. oranges comparisons that people wanted to make.

1. robert's constant whining about craigslist vs. eBay. I don't know how many of you guys have ever bought anything on craigslist, but it is so hit or miss that even comparing the two things is just plain silly. Beyond that, his consistent lying about even the prices on eBay was just laugable.
2. dacarter's one time miracle purchase on craigslist which he never bothered to elaborate on. Assuming that he was telling the truth (not something I'm willing to do), all that does is illustrate that if you are willing to do a bunch of legwork and hunt for a great deal, you MIGHT find one. Then again, you might wind up wasting a ton of time trying to catch a miracle that you could just as easily have bought whatevere it is you'r elooking for in the first place.
3. gaffon's booking a seat 3 month's in advance during a non peak travel part of the year in the middle of the week and saving himself a whopping $50 over what I was asking for. You da man. Hello, Ms. Apples. Have you met my friend Mr. Oranges?
4. JHair with his ******ed regional airline and $800 iPhone comments. Again, apples vs. oranges.
Lastly, 5. Meester Stotch with his $12MM pens. WTF, dude. The market for these things is easily documentable at $350/ea., so when I offer them at $335, somehow I'm price gouging? Are you the same pinhead who rolls into a Mercedes dealership and whines about how you can't afford their cars? Nevermind they've been getting their asking price for years, somehow when you can't buy one, it's a mistake?

Bobo Fett,

Please close this thread. All of the Buddy Passes have been sold, and any that I may get in the future will not be listed here. This whole thing has been an exercise in how to waste a bunch of time talking to one brick wall after another.

Anyway, I'm done with this.

Thank you.
