Line checks (5handed):

Hero AJ93 opens BTN 35.

SB loose/passive fish 60/15 flats, Straddle decent rec flats.

887

2 SB leads 85, Straddle folds, Hero folds (?)

I could cbet flop there but generally I prefer to check with weaker draws/ones that are susceptible to making a lot of second best hands on later streets/ones that can't go three streets for value on many runouts.

Hero AQJ3 opens CO 40, BTN same 60/15 guy flats, Straddle (seems tighter player, minimal reads), flats.

Q84 Straddle leads 120, Hero folds (?)

Looking for some guidance on if/where I'm overfolding or if these are just std...thanks

1st hand is fine to let go - we have nothing and our flush draw isnt even close to a nut draw

2nd hand - depends how deep you are - i dont mind floating here with the nut blocker if we're deep. if less than 100bbs i may let it go.Villain leading here will be strong on a dryish board especially if he doesnt have the A diamond. Maybe KQXX dd Q8+ etc - its unlikely we're ahead here.

Standard folds both hands. You just can`t win them all.I don`t really like floating with

bare Ad and q in 2hand even deep.If you have some additional equity like gs+bdfd or 9tj

is fine, but your j and 3 kickers are bad,and calling to potentially bluff diamonds when

straddle`s range for leading this flop into 2 players is often very strong is not good strategy.

Fine all around. Could raise h1. And call hand 2

Hand 1 is a standardish fold, very easy for us to get into a lot of trouble

Hand 2 we have tptk and the nut flush blocker, hero should absolutely calling here sometimes and have a plan based on what he knows about villain

Hand 1 is a pretty standard fold. As you say, our draws are completely non-nutted. Board smacks the range of a loose passive, and even though he checked flop, he's uncapped because he could just be checking to the raiser. He can have an 8 (or even worse a boat) a lot here and we'll have no idea which of our outs are good.

Hand 2 is a bit tougher. I focus very heavily on what people donk with. My experience (more online) is that good players donk with weaker hands, and bad players donk with strong hands. For instance, I play with one thinking reg and I've made a bundle out of stealing pots with any 4 cards after he donks. Head's up I maycall this and see a turn, though probably a fold even head's up. Multiway I definitely fold, both because we have to fold if button raises (probably unlikely if he's loose-passive), and because if button calls we're going to have a hard time bluffing at the pot, because he'll call with a lot of flush draws and probably won't fold when flush hits even though we have nut flush blocker.

I would cbet hand 1. Can make better hands fold, clean up draws, and can possibly realize equity versus an 8 with a bad kicker.

H2 I just fold
