New to plo played for a few months on PokerBros during COVID lockdown because I had some private games hat where fish invested for juicy stakes did well learned as I played talked to a few friends who are decent ( good enough to beat the games that I was playing. Recently found an amazing private cash game locally 5-5-25plo (25btn straddle sometimes $50-$100-$200 depending on the players at the table. Game runs for days and gets very very deep.

I’ve only played in the game a handful of times and have had great success but know that I’m burning money in a lot of spots. Mainly pre I’ve never played at these stakes and saw so many multi-way huge pots. I’m interested in getting better but not trying to crush online or become a plo master. I feel like I’m decent enough to beat the game now ( not because I’m any good at plo but because how bad everyone else is) but I know I can learn a ton quickly being that I know crap about plo atm.

Any advice would be appreciated as far as preflop ranges mainly EP ranges I don’t know what I should be limping/raising with ep in this style game

For example I limp aaxx in bb vil ep raises $100 7 callers (playing
Ten handed) I pot and get 7 callers.

What are the best books for PLO, training sights? Also would consider coaching if anyone is used to a game dynamic of businessmen who like to gamble Pre/post. Trying to get any edge I can for the game I’m playing in bc I think it can be super profitable.
Apologies if this was hard to read I’m not good at writing , but any info would be appreciated you can message me too if you can or know a coach who can help me.

Also I used to play a lot of NLH and was a successful NLH HSMTT player for 4 years pre Black Friday. I’m willing to listen learn and put in what ever work it takes.

You might be disappointed in regard to learning a ton quickly. It's a process.

I'm a noob too but as far as hands to play, look for hands with connectivity and nutiness. Ideally, they'll be doubled suited as well. Double suited means a lot and the backdoor equity from having double suited hands is a big plus. Draw for the nuts.

AAxx - don't limp. Jam the hell out of it pre. Ideally, you can get it all in pre, HU. Don't play bad high pairs, especially rainbow ones (KK72, for instance). Double paired hands are good and you'll flop a set almost 25% of the time. Sets are strong in PLO but not as strong as in NLHE and set over set isn't an uncommon scenario in PLO.

This is a great site. https://plomastermind.com/

Subscribe to the plan with a PLO Trainer and the PLO Trainer web app should certainly help you a lot. A great course included in the subscription is the 10-week transformation.

If you want some one-on-one help, PM me/hit me up. I regularly play in a PLO5 5/5/straddle with some gambooly types you described. These types of games are potentially extremely profitable if you have the right strat.

those games are cake to beat, just short stack and nit it up. fold for three hours, get it in with aces, rinse, repeat.

If you go to YouTube and check out JNandezPoker you will see a lot of free content. He also has software to offer. His style is def not the AAxx style of play, but he is very straight forward with his thought processes, even the bad ones!

He's been playing a lot of 5-card lately but there's lots of 4-card to peruse. GL
