Playing more and more 6max lately and I guess that I've just never had a good grasp of what I should be doing in spots like this multiway. 5-handed I think this is a pretty standard c/f? How many people in the pot does it take for this to become a bet, or c/c, or c/r etc?

Check and perhaps bet a safe turn. I think even with 2 other people in the pot I would play it this way.

i see absolutely no reason not to bet. its just one of those gay spots where you have a "strong" hand but relatively vs anyone's raising range you are basically dead and have to fold.

Yeah, I think bet/fold is good 4-ways, but if you get 5-ways, I'd probably check/fold it instead.
