Also, my back pains disappeared completely after we got a Tempur bed and pillows. I was so smitten I even use a Tempur-pillow to support my lower back and rest my feet on top of a box as high as the chair when I play

I know!

But it is nowhere available in Europe I was trying to order it through Amazon.com but they won't ship it ffs.

American online shops don't offer shipping over here either

I noticed there is a Stealcase Leap with a Headrest, but looks like its in leather which might not be great for daily use?

i seriously cannot comprehend why anybody that makes a living at poker does not own a Herman Miller Embody. good poker players are suppose to have good logic.

+1, and if you are having back/neck/other pain while using the chair its due to your desk/monitor setup and not the chairs fault.

Same for me back in the day. Once I got a much better bed all back pain I had went away.

I'm using a regular dining table chair atm, maybe grinding 20 hours/week, no problems, been this way for 7-8 months imo

7-8 months is short term thinking. that being said. 20hrs a week isnt as damaging as fulltime/overtime will be

good chair helps but posture while playing, walking, living, sleeping are going to be much more key

b4dger1, that chair looks petty sic imo.

FWIW, if you can't get a chair with a decent headrest then just dont bother. A good headrest should be a mandatory requirement for anything more than 4hrs a day. Also, a great desk can make a ****ty chair manageable.

Heres how I used to operate.

Looking to go for something a bit cleaner like this in future. But cheapr!!

+1 to the ikea chair. It's called Markus I believe, roughly 180-200$ in the US

Thanks for the input guys.

I will take a look at the Markus Chair as well as try to get the WorkLounge to ship to Europe but seems like it is too much effort to get someone to actually do it given companies who are selling it in the US don't even bother offering that even after emaling them.

As for backpain, my issue is my stiff neck. I just don't take breaks often enough.

I feel like my EmBody causes my neck to be even more stiffy (speelling?), because of the missing Headrest when laying back. My head simply cannot relax but has to remain in an uncomfortable position for a long time.

Someone I know ordered Steelcase Leap online to Finland, and they even sell it in B&M shop in Estonia, although likely 1.5-2x more expensive. I'm sure there must be some shop that sells Steelcase chairs in Germany.

I have the leather Leap w/ headrest in leather. I chose leather over cloth even though it could get sweaty (not bad for me) because the cloth looks like crap after a few years. Headrest is nice to lean back into but it can't be adjusted back/forward just in case you're wondering.

Mine was ordered from Steelcase office in Hong Kong and it required like 10 weeks to be made and shipped from USA.

Back to pets, if I may:

How, as professional gamblers, do we feel about pet insurance? It's gotta be -EV, right? How does it compare to phone insurance, or home insurance?

pet emergencies generally seem to run in the 2k-5k range so it seems silly to just not pay for it if it happens at such a cheap price.

As long as you take good care of your pet it's -EV.
If medical care is required then you should decide depending on your attachment, the pets life expectancy and quality of life whether you are willing to spend alot or not. For minor stuff insurance is useless anyway.
Insurances are -EV by default.
Phone insurance is the worst/dumbest unless u plan to scam the insurance company.
and home insurance makes sense as you can't afford to lose such a huge investment.

I have an anectode about this.
My cousin's friend's dog needed a surgery. Appearantly, it was expensive. Owner of the dog could easily afford it though. But it felt stupid to him to pay this much for his pet at that time i guess. He decided to put the dog down.
Now how i've found about this? This guy broke down in tears in front of a group of strangers, a year later from the incidence.
