Seems like a great non-impact cario workout.. but do they really work?
"It depends".
I mean ellipticals are just a tool like any other piece of equipment. With cardio, effectiveness depends moreso on what you do on the machine, not so much the type of machine. Each type of cardio machine has it's limits and capabilities of course, but you can pretty much achieve most goals on most machines. So it really doesn't matter much. Choose the one you dislike the least and has the least amount of chance of forcing you to skip workouts.
Oh, and mix it up a bit over time for the sake of keeping the body adapting, providing you're looking to continuing progressing and making changes.
I'll recommend watching my short summary on cardio around ~51:00 of my second training vblog (google Lefortaments youtube training volume #2) for more specifics on how to tweak your cardio to match your goals.
