5/10/10 mandatory straddle home game, 8 players i am in the BB. Villain in co is a pro live player with whome i play a lot and recently he had been owning me hard getting extremely lucky on rivers and me paying him off in few large pots or ~50/50 all in on flop hands where he won most of them lately. He is tight agressive and kind of ABC , has a large br and is quite a large guy, likes to intimidate other players with his demeanour and is deff very tough all round live villain.

I have about 2400$ and villain covers me.

Villain raises to 35, i call in the BB with Ah2hkd9d, utg calls. pot (110)

flop: AsAc2d

Check, check, villain bets 110, i raise to 330, utg folds, villain calls. Pot (770)

turn: 4d

I bet 700, villain shoves and i call.

river: 8c

He shows A4TT and wins 5k pot.

Thing is, he is unlikely to raise me on the turn without the A4. Coming from online background where i am almost never folding this , i found this to be a problem for me transitioning to live poker, people do actually have the nuts like 95% of the time iin these spots.

Have i done something wrong in this hand or it plays itself?

If you are sure villain have A4 you can fold.

this is close and you definitely have options. on the surface it seems like a really tight fold but in reality it can be a standard fold against certain opponents. given your description of villain i think it is safe to say he could be one of them. 4 is a safe turn card for you so betting is definitely mandatory but my assumption is that he's not going to just rip in the rest without the nuts here.

really depends on history w villain and how he views you, you may be able to make a very exploitative fold here.

Bet call turn for sure. Villain is always going to have Ax when he bet calls flop and the 4 is just about as tame a turn as there is.

You can find a fold here as ugly as it is .

You check raised him on a AA2 Board And he flats. Screams of an A. You bet the turn hard and get raised.
