Hey I'm watching this Jnandez video and he makes this point at 9 minutes in that is interesting. Basically GTO optimal play if someone is repping a nut flush only and you have a flush, you should call especially if you have top pair. Something like that. Can someone please explain it?
I think he's saying when your opponent reps the nut flush, and it's HU, he either has the nuts or he has the nut blocker. You don't want to fold every time or you're exploitable (they'll bluff a lot). You don't want to call every time either because you're...exploitable (they'll always pot with the nuts).
Thus, you want to call with the lower flush some times, and fold some times. He uses his "I have a pair too" as a 'randomizer' to tell himself when to bluff catch.
