Hu hyper turbo are hugely popular so I can imagine there was a big demand for hu CAP, the only diference is that hu hyperturbo SNGs are raked 2% per game and hu CAP PLO is raked 5% per hand.

This decision isn't just bad for PLO players, it's bad for Stars regs as a whole.

This 20bb cap PLO is worse than roulette, even for the best players.

The fact that Stars is willing to spread a game that is literally just not beatable should speak volumes.

If I understand correctly, PS Steve told me he's not going to respond to anything more in these Stars threads about PLO rake. PS Steve does not believe the current 10bb+/100 SSPLO cash game rake is unsustainable, predatory, or too high... despite the clear message from the vast majority of posters here pointing out the contrary.

so the rake-cap for 6max plo10 is 15% of a whole 100bb STACK! the rake-cap at plo 25/50 DOLLAR is only 33% higher total than at plo 0.10/0.25 (CENTS). in plo pots are way bigger and often bigger than in nlhe but cap is the same... there has to be a lower rake-cap especialle at the micros and lower stakes. equities run so close the argument that you can win more cos there are bigger pots is invalid.

I too believe the rake is too high. I think PS may even know that it is 'predatory' but I do not think they have much incentive / benefit to lower it except for pleasing the demographics of 2p2.

From PS perspective, I think lowering rake has few if any benefits for the short to medium term. Lowering rake would lead to fish losing their deposits slower (lost profit for PS) and a lot of currently break even regs would start marking a profit and increase withdrawals. The withdrawals themselves incur fees and the withdrew funds are lost profit. Winning players would continue to win and withdraw but at a slightly accelerated pace.

Longterm we logically anticipate that the high rake will lead to a burnout for the PLO player pool where casual players decide either to no longer deposit or play PLO. The BE regs will slowly decide it's not worth the time and stop playing at some rate. These factors hurt the 'ecosystem' for PLO. This assumes PS cannot add new fish and BE regs at the same or greater rate than that of the defectors.

Unfortunately, I think it is very hard to prove that the high rake makes the ecosystem unsustainable without the key performance indicators available to PS such as player acquisition / defection rates (segregated by WR).

The pot size at HUHU is smaller so the minimum of 50 is like 40 maybe, and the cap 100 like 80 maybe. Only between these stacks the game (ring also) plays well and there is less to no reason to hit and run because one is playing higher than one wants or because of bad position to another big stack. PLO rake should be smaller than the NLHE rake.

U can always play just nlh, the same game but with 2 starting cards, faster games, easier to think, lower rake and far more popular, including live, tournaments, shallow and cap tables.

50x minimum, no way, plo and nlh should be 100 times cap. The 50x cap plo games should also be offered. But whatever, as things are, i prefer to play only nlh, and cant play plo occasionally even as i have got rusty.
