i don't think it's a clear fold. after the xr pot is 402 and it's 201 to call. against a bare set, which is most probable imo it's 33/67. a bare set probably checks turns that are straighters and def a heart so you might get a free river. Because of this I like the call instead of just deading 50. I think if it was checked to you it would be a good spot to check back, though maybe not with the SDV of 2p. sometimes the ace hi fd + top pair is played like this, they just want to gii.

$200 to call but we have $500+ left in our stack.

Results:

I timed down with about 1 second left while trying to figure out what the hell I wanted to do and in the end decided to shove the flop instead of folding or calling.

Villain showed JT89, no flush draw, just a wrap.

I hit my flush on the turn and he was drawing dead.

I played with villain a few weeks after this hand occurred and his play has tightened up considerably.

I'm not sure if villain thought he was check raising for value because a wrap is a good hand or if he was trying to fold out some hands with dead money in the middle since I only flat called the flop.

After seeing the results I am still left questioning the reasoning behind them. Am I able to infer something that may be useful in the future? Or do these inferences also have an expiration date?

Rec probably just misvalues their hands in spots like these sometimes. It could be a light tilt as well. Call slightly lighter, give room but don't go overboard and just ABC them down.

Trying to figure out why recs really do what they do is not beneficial and you end up leveling yourself.
