I think there is very wide spread support for this at least. Stars have mentioned in a few places their intent to stop incessant ratholing. Their plan is likely to be implemented in the not-too-distant future.
I had the impression they won't implement the "identities" thing at zoom though???
D'oh, I forgot this was the zoom thread. I'm not actually sure of their plans for whether or not the identities thing will be a part of zoom or if it will remain as is or if there's some third alternative.
