I wouldn't fold pre, I would fold turn though.

Easy call pre - you're on the button, everyone is deep, 1 limper ahead of you
Easy call flop - Top set on a flush board
Easy fold turn - still same hand, only one card to come, plus, villains hand should be clear now, and you won't get paid if you hit, plus, the other guy can also have some flush with 2 pair or even set hand, that means, less outs

fold pre, I get why ppl are telling you to limp but honestly shouldn't have an over limping strat. flop call, fold turn, fold river.

I'm just folding PRE; 4 is a dangler in 5-card, position in non-raised pot without a premium hand isn't as valuable (not a lot of hands where we can flop nuts and improve). The 4 basically needs to be a a Q or a 10, in which case you'd be raising on the button.

Turn fold should be automatic if you somehow do get there, as noted they always have a flush and you don't get paid if you fill-up so.

disagree, and you give the reasoning for that yourself:
when the 4 is q or 10, you raise, so its raise or fold, there is no limping range??
i think it's a clear limp on the button, esp after one limper ahead of you

I can see the argument for limping with some hands that aren't premium but are better in that at least we'd have some nut re-draws i.e. AJ994ds or QJ994ds (so when the K is an A or a J).

When I play 5-card I don't like to be weak on the button with average hand and limpers; prefer to play aggressive with good hands in position in 5-card (need to clear more hands since the backdoors get infinitely more ridiculous).

That's just my preferred strategy though - seems from response 3 people advocate folding PRE, 2 advocate calling (all advocate folding turn, so there is some agreement), so different strategies/perspective on this one.

the nut draws are for top set or the made straight. the point is that the price to see the flop is extremely cheap, and we have the ability to use our position to the maximum possible effect, given the spr will be so high, and at least one of our opponents is weak enough to open-limp, I see no reason not to limp behind a hand that can make the best hand in a number of ways, even though few of those are to the nuts.

one nice thing about this scenario on the turn is that unlike if the nuts were a straight, two people can't have the nuts. so once villain pots the turn it is much less likely you get raised by the third player than if the board were QJT2 rainbow or two toned or whatever. OF course the third player could have the nut flush, or raise without the nut flush.

Preflop, IMO it is a fold. You are super deep but you have to draw a line somewhere and this holding can be trouble. As played, calling the flop is standard. Folding the turn is also standard. With a 3rd player in the hand, he is more likely to hold blockers for us than the other villain.
