Reads: 200 hands: he is a very good reg, has been dominating the match with all in raises and showing up w better hands when we both had something and pots got big. He opens 100% bu, defends 27% w CC and 18% w 3bs

boards have been running out ugly for me overall so i had to cH/ fold flops and turns quite a bit.
He has caught me bluffing in 1R pots where i had strong draws and he had trips from the flop on and called me down 3 barrels.

I had a good 3b image and he was not 4Bing me much, nor raising a lot of flops as bluffs it seemed. I think my 3b preflop is really debateable, but as played, what do you think?
In this hand i think my turn sizing is too big maybe and river sizing in % of the pot is ok.

Do you ever think he is making a sick move here w blockers?

How do you play this hand from the flop on?

like pre then

smaller, smaller, OTR smaller or also c/c

as played fold. I don't think he's shoving with K-high flush or bluffing with naked Q.

I don´t see much reason to 3bet this marginal hand against someone u describe as very good 150bb deep...

Once we get that flop/turn i think betting is fine (what else could we do) - river i like the bet - not sure about sizing (will think about that) - definatly fold to raise...esp. given ur "clean" image...

Question: What was ur plan for river besides hitting the flush and vbetting?

do not like pre

like flop would bet turn a little smaler and river bet is fine would fold to raise

Alarm bells are ringing when he flats the turn with a double FD out, ur def beat when he raises the river. c/decide river, prob fold. I think a good reg shoves a combodraw OTT, so the turn flat looks uber strong.

Pre-flop is borderline bad and you are pretty much dead on the river close 100% of the time

Edit: oops, didn't see this post:

I like pre but personally would bet less as a % of the pot after the flop

lemme get this straight. a good reg, will ship the combo draw on the turn (maybe drawing dead) when flatting instead looks 'uber strong?' doesn't sound like that good of a reg. additionally, experience tells me that most people do not have much of a turn jamming range on this board.

i'd fold the river but i think a good player is likely to be relatively balanced, and be bluffing you occasionally.

i am also folding. and i think a very good reg is calling w his bluffs on turn. he knows that he looks uber strong when he flats again.

anyway still folding. he also plays boats like this.

Ok, I guess my standards are a bit lower than you guys, not used that level of balance. At least we agree on the river.

Fwiw, is a really good player likely to raise a ton OTT vs the bet, or is calling always optimal?

when you call turns again, what is your range, you will turn into bluffs on the river if he bets small and u raise/ when he checks and u bet?

7T:dd?
AKJ with or without diamonds?
JJ or 99:dd?
even like Q456?

from my experience shoving turns w really strong draws and blockers is usually a better play on boards where the TURN pairs the board and makes the lower cards pair, which hit our range more than the 3bettors range but he will still be barreling a lot repping Overpairs and TPTK.
