So I’m curious if jamming for Villains remaining $62 is standard here. Moreover, is the re-pot from the SB with AAXXss a standard line? What effect does villains half buyin stack size have on our line here? I think it’s between flatting the open from the EP raiser and looking to get it all in preflop, but have to admit I’m lost trying to decide which is better...

Read is non-existent as this is my 2nd hand since getting seated, in the moment I figured his range to be double and single suited KKxx, big double/single suited rundowns, and medium double suited rundowns. I know that equities are so thin in this game that I should be looking to take flops, and also that I’m never ever folding here.


Note this is not a BBV post. I have been baffled by this situation at least a half dozen times since I started playing more omaha a few months ago.

Just get it in. For all you know, Villian could be just looking to gamble with whatever type of random hands, he could be on tilt, he could be pushing KKxx types of hands, whatever. Getting it in is +EV, folding is massively -EV.

If I have AAxx HU and the possibility to get it in preflop, I always do (assuming stack sizes of around 100-150BB).

Against a villian with a short stack, I would say that a re-raise from SB is an absolute must - Villian will have slightly more than a pot bet left on the flop, so you just ship it no matter what cards come up.

Stack size has a lot to do with repopping here. if he’s short repop. If he’s fully stacked then a call/ raise are both good as your hand is disguised and allows you to lead a lot more low flops

Tankfold and move up where they respect your SB

Re-pot and expect to loose. Next time be cognizant of the short stack open raise when deciding whether or not to 3B. So imo it's either call the original raise or 3B with the intention forcing the short stack to commit pre-flop. 3B fold is just lighting money on fire.

Jesus Christ guys it’s not like I asked whether or not it’s a playable hand. I’m new(ish) to PLO and I’m basically asking if I should be shoving raggedy single suited aces or calling the original PFR and taking a flop out of position.

I guess the need to be a cvnt cannot be restrained in some instances though.
