If I have AAxx HU and the possibility to get it in preflop, I always do (assuming stack sizes of around 100-150BB).
Against a villian with a short stack, I would say that a re-raise from SB is an absolute must - Villian will have slightly more than a pot bet left on the flop, so you just ship it no matter what cards come up.
Stack size has a lot to do with repopping here. if he’s short repop. If he’s fully stacked then a call/ raise are both good as your hand is disguised and allows you to lead a lot more low flops
