Re: The old pokerstars PLO botring, this time on WPN

Just have to say I was playing 2 4 plo against trashman77 on wpn years ago. If that is a bot that is a bad design for sure. His play is spewy to say the least and never normally plays anything below 2 4. I hold it is most likely a bot out of the bunch. I see him almost everyday sitting across 12 fifty dollar games as well as 1 2 and 2 4 never really see him above these stakes. Ironically I also have to say I am pretty sure I have never seen the bot guy whatever lose a pot. I gave up on WPN a few months ago, I play ignition and get my cashouts through bitcoin they normally take 5 days tops to hit my wallet.

Re: The old pokerstars PLO botring, this time on WPN

I couldn't load images. So here are the exact quotes from Winning_TD:

"Hi,

That bot ring thread that was made was very detailed but very incorrect. We did many test and found them to be very normal players. Unfortunately people think everyone is a bot that plays a certain style and many hours is causing everyone to jump on the wagon. In this case we found them to very legit players." 8/6/2016

"A couple do play still thats why I said that it was incorrect info. I don't know how the investigation went believe me or not. They may have found something or not, but I have seen a couple of the names very recently playing. On that basis I gave you my last answer."

So it safe to assume that they don't care and they are not willing compensate or do any action towards this. What a waste of time.

I believe that we should confront them.

Probably using a site that was blocked for pr0rn. Use imgur.com and the link has to end in a known graphic extension like .jpg or .png.

Missing the extension. After you post it on imgur, right click the image and select "copy image address" and use that in our image tool.

how about Grownkowski87?? plays plo8 on acr:
1. plays .25/50 to 10/20 SIMULTANEOUSLY
2. playing both 6max and headsup SIMULTANEOUSLY (not easy to do)
3. makes decisions across games INSTANTLY. i've watched.

emailed site but never heard back.

Re: The old pokerstars PLO botring, this time on WPN

Hello,

I found a bot on acr who had the good old minraisebug, he minraised/minbetted across 5 tables. Have 40min video footage of that incident. Not sure if I should out that bot yet?. Yousefahmed was also on one of these tables maybe he noticed it too. Another friend of mine also witnessed it.

Maybe some bothunter(schwein, grethe, forgot who else was there?) can contact me and Ill give em the details?

Re: The old pokerstars PLO botring, this time on WPN

Have you seen him using normal bet sizes prior to this? I ask because there is a semi-reg on another US-facing site that has normal stats but only uses minbets. He plays decent volume and is not a bot.

Re: The old pokerstars PLO botring, this time on WPN

Can confirm I saw two different accounts doing this min bet/min raise for roughly 7-10 days on WPN. I've played with both accounts for at least a year at mid-stakes PLO, and they've never used this "strategy" before. They have always played normal, with normal sizings and plays.

Then all of the sudden, on the same day, they both start min betting every street and min raising any spot they plan on raising. The chances of them not being bots is extremely low.

What really bothered me is that both are def very good players (bots) and have definitely taken a good chunk out of the PLO games. They've also gone unnoticed for at least a year.

Happy to post their SN's if people think that's the right thing to do. Also have a decent sample of HH's I can post.

Yes please report them.

I noticed this too, stupidly I thought it was a reg trying some new dumb strategy, min 3-betting the button, min c-betting etc.

I am new to the site but am running ~12k under EV over my first 12k hands, roughly ~20 buyins, nothing too crazy but something definitely seems fishy.

I say out the names. But make NO accusation other then what you stated. Simply state that here are two winning accounts that have been around for awhile that all of a sudden on the same exact day start some strange min bet/min raise method of play. Then we can all do some detective work to see if anything can be made of this simultaneous strange change in play, etc.

The players have to do all the work, because the poker sites and their reps are lacking in skills and often even in maturity. Below is a link to a recent NLH bot thread on the WPN sub-forum. The rep Winning_TD derailed, and trolled that serious thread. And then when called out by multiple people he says he was only being sarcastic. Any player serious about stopping bots should be shocked by the way a WPN rep acted in this thread.

Re: The old pokerstars PLO botring, this time on WPN

The SN's are D1tto and Koffing. They might have slightly different spelling than that; I'll check later when I get back to my poker PC.

I haven't reported either of them, but I know another reg (PLOwned) did. They both disappeared around the same time and haven't played much (maybe at all) since this whole min bet/raise strategy was implemented. Will likely report them soon and see how WPN responds.

The screenname from the bot I spotted is 5eyez.
I have a 40min video as a proof where he played 5 tables from 200 to 1k doing only the minbets

Re: The old pokerstars PLO botring, this time on WPN

Ditto and Koffing are both pokemon so it seems likely that it is the same person behind both accounts lol. When I looked at the few hands I had on them it seems that all 3 are limited to betting the fractional predetermined bet buttons on ACR (1/3 1/2 and 2/3 pot) as I didn't see any other betsizes, but I don't have a ton of hands on them either. I know some players are lazy and more likely to use them than not, but in one of the hands I looked at the "player" choose to donk 2/3p in a spot where most legitimate players would have bet smaller or larger by a decent margin if donking at all.

PLOwned is not a bot, I have had conversations with him numerous times. Seems like a legit dude to me.

Re: The old pokerstars PLO botring, this time on WPN

he very likely is tho, quite a coincidence there are always retards popping up in this thread and in the HSPLO BBV thread when the bot topic is talked about.

PLOwned told us he is viebu, doesnt play like viebu did back then on stars tho, seems likely he rented the acc to the owner of the botring

PLOwned was under "investigation" previously based on 2+2 accusations. His account was locked up for a period, so I guess it was investigated by the network. He did comment in that thread defending himself.

Two of the banned accounts on PS had humans behind the accounts and changed style over time (Properly after they got the software). I'm NOT saying this is the case here, but definitely something to keep an eye on.

Re: The old pokerstars PLO botring, this time on WPN

I don't know what else , other than what I provided in this thread I can do to stop this personal whitch hunt . I guess not much .
I have switched styles / evolved many times during my career , played diff games ,
Full ring nl , hu , hypers , mtts , plo .
I never thought that working on my game and improving is something suspicious .
I'm sure every decent reg has changed styles during his career .
I currently play plo6max , nl 6max and full ring , start tables at plo , and play mtts , all at the same time .
Haven't seen bots do that .
I have been on the top 7 leaderboard for the past 22 weeks str8 , thus making a lot of ppl notice me .
Not a wise thing to do if I were a bot / bot owner.
Unlike the stars bots who never went to play higher stakes even though they were huge winners on plo100.
There are real min betting bots out there who play every day . With hard evidence for them 99% being bots .
Would be great if my name would stop being thrown out there with no reason or evidence .

Well then help provide some names of WPN bots, reasons and evidence. It is time to shine a huge spotlight on theses bot accounts. As well as shine a light on WPN's weak security department, WPN reps that flamed the 2+2 WPN sub-
forum NLH bot thread and the mod that closed that thread. Many of the people that work for or represent WPN are in denial that they inherited PS bot problem, even though the players and the title of this thread knew it.

Things are going to get worse because of multiple groups working at WPN unless players expose the multiple problems.
