I just looked into my data base, and I was up against 7soulripper7 a whole 63 quid.

I assume that's why I didn't get any refunds ... despite having also lost a few hands obviously.

**** stars, seriously.

Yeah I just had to deposit to a site where no russians are allowed to play.

I was playing on stars fullring NL, 5-7 russian/ukraine regs every table. They had tight stats but were playing aggressive/loose vs me and other non-russian players. Even thou they seem willing to battle a lot, they dont battle at all vs each other. Also they would play a ton, be winning players but never move up in stakes a lot of them...

It tilted me so much that I just had to quit all those sites and deposit somewhere else + live poker.

Whatever is going on, if they are bots or just colluding friends on skype, they are ruining online poker completly.

whenever these bot makers 'confess' on 2+2 for attention they always harp on the fact that it takes real know-how and poker skill to build successfull bots...they talk about their bots like a virtual stable that is just putting in the hours so they dont have to

but they are criminals, exploiting a vulnerable system, and exploiting peoples hope of actually winning money. they bleed people slowly, people who dont even realize they are wasting hours of their lives against virtual opponents

i think this must be one thing that gets people started in multiaccouting: they encounter some bots, decide to set up a second account so they can fight the bot at the same tables, accept that they are also taking money from real players, and the moral decline begins

is it possible, that this players used a software?

I dont have many pl2's hands, but pl1 play with interesting style. For ex.: 3b = sqz by position. And I understand that same CB turn OOP with another CB flop - its not same things.

But if the botring has been shut down, and the tables are safe (for now), having this thread open does damage to the credibility of the current games on offer on pokerstars/partypoker, and is bad for online pokers reputation. Many players avoid online poker entirely because of doubts about bots and the integrity of the games.

Does it make sense to close this thread? A new thread could be created in future if somebody has evidence that a new botring might exist.
This post makes me laugh. The bot ring will be alive as long as online poker exists. Is the same guys with different accounts. It is the russian mafia at work. You guys have no idea how massive this issue is.

Exactly.

The games are not safe. Bots and real time solvers are up there for sale. Highstakes friend of mine met the Russian bot ring owner and that guy has a team of 150 people running bots on every site. Their software is undetectable and they seem to easily pass the Pokerstars security checks.

Who wouldve imagined that this would be the result by making solvers publicly available and having instruction videos of how to use themMassive bot ring on PokerStars/Party and how to spot themMassive bot ring on PokerStars/Party and how to spot them

Is this bot still active on Stars? I have been collecting data on this same bot ring on WPN PLO. Here is just a small selection of the 65+ bots I have found. It is interesting that nobody mentioned flop bet vs missed cbet, because that is the quickest way to spot the bots. Also flop cbet (multiway) will always be absurdly high and HIGHER than flop cbet (hu).

Where did this data come from?

I've played a bunch of hands with some of these accounts. I thought they were some of the best/most aggressive regulars at the stakes they primarily grind. I'm pretty sure I played some amount of 3/4 handed w/ 2 accounts at the same table as well.

I do agree that they're probably taking the money from fishes and that means less money in the pool for the rest of us in an abstract sense.

But when sitting down at a table, PLO isn't a solved game, so I don't know why we are afraid of bots. Just beat them and take their money.

LOL, cardsharing tho...... You vs a team of cardsharing bots, who's gonna have an edge?

Ahh collusion - yeah that will probably give them an edge. I consider that a separate issue.

Your winrate will decrease significantly meaning you'll have to play more hands aka work harder to earn what you should, all because people are cheating. If you see no problems with this then I don't know what to say.

Also, yes, card sharing obviously further decreases your table edge (winrate).

From what I've seen it's standard bot play. But hey I play on a site that's a freaking bot farm.
