You dump 60k at 1/2 and bots are to blame? Not trying to be a dick but....

Re: Massive bot ring on PokerStars and how to spot them

i was winning for a long time up untill just over a year ago when these ssupected bots came in. and its over like 500k hands. Lots of good players i talked too were loosing over the last while at low stakes. SO yah i do think it has something to do with.

Define "good players" lol!!!
Honestly I doubt it's the bots fault that you're down that much!
But we shouldn't derail this thread to much!

Hey Mate just to clarify that you´re wrong with this quoted sentence and to make it clear for others as well.

Its definitely not the case that i don't want investigations or a hard line against cheater, im as much interested to have clean games as everyone else who plays those games as bread and butter games.

I just can't tolerate people like you or others, who "investigate" 30 minutes without a big clue and then go ahead and throw in names in public.
Think about it: Every wrong accused guy in public, every post which presents facts which aren´t facts and every post where people get called out which get shown later as wrong accused will throw shadows over the REAL facts, the REAL cheaters and subvert the credibility from posts which have a real "investigation" behind them. Therefor every wrong accusation will benefit the cheaters cause it will subtract the REAL facts.

I don't say don't investigate or don't keep looking for other cheaters in the game, but i friendly ask you to do it in privat and just post names in public when you can at least to 99,99% back it up and prove that those are guilty!

They were likely too busy to play because of all the research done for the new derailing bot thread...

Sounds good.

How long would take for new accounts paying these same stats to converge/be detected by players?

Re: Massive bot ring on PokerStars/Party and how to spot them

I have checked the derail. The 4 accounts(6 pairs) over there were more different then the accounts in my thread. In the derail 3/6 account pairs had a difference of 250+, in my thread all pairs were under 250, most under 100. So the ring theory over there is a flawed one. There was one similar pair of accounts which means its worth checking. I checked that pair by looking at various HEM stats and those were really different. Case closed for me.

I made a post with 6 reasons why I think its coincidence over there, my accusations were never based on just RPTR, but also on a connection to banned accounts, various HEM stats, playing schedules and the list goes on.

I have stopped looking for any new names on Stars a few days ago. In case I missed someone, Stars will not. They are really working on it. But mostly I have stopped looking, because I didnt want to become overzealous and be like, hmm how about this one also kinda looks similar.

The thing about botting is that its never 2-3 accounts, when someone creates a ground breaking software its always plenty of accounts.

They could still be bots. A lot of bot programmers just take one of the good bots and work on it themselves to try and make the best one.

I was thinking about the games yesterday and even though he may be down 60k in the games in the past 2 years, if he's made more than then in rake back which is likely then he's still a winning or break-even player. With the amount of hands i have played this year i would have to be up 140k in the games themselves to actually be a break-even player with the absurdly high rake. Any amount of money that you get back from rake back is actually pure profit from the games themselves not just a bonus. Being a "losing player" from your graphs and whatnot can actually be very deceiving because for a lot of players if it weren't for rake they would be well in the green.

However the games are definitely much much harder with these bots around and thats pretty obvious by the amounts they have been making. I didn't see one of them today like busto said so hopefully thats a good sign!

Re: Massive bot ring on PokerStars and how to spot them

you are one of the best in the 1/2 pool purple. do u think i should be down that much, and yes its mostly rake but i could beat 1/2 and 2/4 hu and 2/5 zoom, but loose at .5/1 and 1/2. and was winning when it first came out for a while. this just started mid 2014. you really believe that its correct. also i noticed the last few days games just seemed easier and better. im prob owed like 20-40k from stars. not even kidding

It's hard to say don't know too too much about your game there are a lot of intricacies in PLO that are small that can make you a winning or losing player. We are definitely owed something, determining how much is a whole different story that we might never find out. Not much we can do about it anyway just hopefully Pokerstars comes up with a reasonable solution that most people are happy with.

Just a thought Moderator as this bot issue is happening across different poker platforms to change the title to Online poker instead of naming all the sites? It seems like the same bots are on every. Network.

Schwein I know stars are well on top of this now and it seems like we will all get answers soon. Wait and see if the compensation is acceptable upon the results.

Re: Massive bot ring on PokerStars/Party and how to spot them

there is absolutely 0 chance that pokerstars pays any rake back to the players. It will never happen. Players will receive tens of dollars back in compensation.

Rake will not go down either.

But good job again figuring out who some of the cheaters are, they won't be stopped without you, stars isn't going to do their job. Even with you, many of them won't be stopped, they were reported how many times before this and for how long?

I'd love to be proven wrong, on all accounts.

Might be an issue where regulators have to chime in, no? Now I don't have a clue about these issues, but, regarding the scale of things, I can't imagine this being totally up to what Stars decides to do.

i get two error messages

Recipient is not eligible to receive a real money transfer (fedor)

And

the userID you selected is not able to receive real money transfers (seregaxx)

i dont know if one means banned and one doesnt. (you might not be able to transfer to some countries on .uk client though, no idea)

Seregaxxx's location is Estonia and due to legislation Estonian players cannot transfer (or receive) money to other players via PokerStars client.

Re: Massive bot ring on PokerStars/Party and how to spot them

I have emailed Stars Game Integrity Team today describing everything I have figured out about the alleged botters statistics. Posting some of that information here would make my case a lot stronger but would also help to change the software.

I am being vague on purpose.

Please keep on being vague Schwein, don't give botters any more info on how to stay under the radar with future bots.

Great work, thanks a lot!

Stars should be ashamed.
