none of them was playing the last few hours, maybe someone at stars pressed the wrong button or something... everything is possible with their security standards.

story which makes "wrong button" less ridiculous: i once logged into my account and wasn't prompted for my RSA id, at least i thought so. so i logged out and logged in again - no RSA code asked. I sent a mail to stars, concerned about my account security. shortly afterwards got a phone call from security department who apologized and said that they do routine checks where they log into your account and sniff around, and the employee accidentally pressed the wrong button and disabled RSA in my settings (!)

they could have summed them up in one file or whatever.

these accounts played all the time, played for a few hours this morning then disappeared again. i don't think they are fully open again. well, they might be and just played a bit before going for holidays like seregaxx announced

If it's really possible to program a bot to play like a RIO coach, and Stars can't tell the difference between a bot and a human (or worse, Stars simply doesn't care), the game has no future.

That video could be a major reason for what happened. I have checked 20+ regs and some of them changed and others didnt. How much they changed and when was different depending on the guy and usually the change wasnt instant, more like a trend that they started to defend more and more.

Now when it comes to the 27 alleged botters. They have identical postflop stats while the preflop stats are different for the one that play regular tables. Still there are some absolutely unique patterns to those preflop stats. I have posted previously about how 3bet is different but its always 3bet=sqz. There are some more patters that I have emailed to PS Integrity. But the most unreal one is the one I will describe now.

The have changed overnight how much they defend their BB vs BTN and SB steal. The BB defend vs CO didnt move even a bit for any of them (I am posting only 3 highest volume ones). Its actually mind blowing how someone can start to defend every single hand vs minraise from BTN but keep folding a lot vs CO steal like they did before. Its only a speculation but I think they have rule based software for preflop and they have changed BB vs BTN and BB vs SB defend but somehow forgot to change BB vs CO steal. I mean when someone starts to twitch the system manually it can happen. And they do some twitching for preflop to avoid looking like clones on basic HUD.



Like I said before the preflop numbers are different to begin with but the shift is the same for all of them and occurred on same day. Postflop numbers are identical which I posted in my OP.

Schwein, do you think it's good to post so much info on how bots can be identified? Just gives botters intel on how to program better bots...

Stars security team ignored players concerns dating back to October 2014 so if the same security team concludes that there has been no wrongdoing despite all this evidence then they are not liable to give any compensation to players

Stars security team don't want to be at fault for ignoring the bots so they just conclude that the TOS hasn't been broken, which it clearly has.

Sorry for not very meaningful impact, but I cannot imagine old Pokerstars being blind on this case.

I might be missing something from the thread but have there been efforts to contact some of the regulation commissions in the countries where Pokerstars is licensed, such as UKGC (in the UK)?

The thing is that they way incentives work, they don't have to be "in on it" to be in on it.

Lets just say for example that a poker site has a lazy, disinterested security department, and management that would prefer for publicity reasons to ignore the possibility of bots where possible.

This hypothetical site could ignore the bots, while keeping the option open to seize all the money in their account if they so choose, and in the meantime take all the rake that they generate.

To you PLO guys who packed up and went elsewhere to play, where are you guys playing now? Seriously considering the move myself. Despite only playing micros, the way stars are handling this is ridiculous.

I think 888 and Party try to get rid of the bots too but Stars is more effective in general. (This case is more about corporate policy.)

Scary to think that with the way Pokerstars are handling this, they're still miles ahead of most other companies in terms of game integrity and policy.

Appreciate the vigilance Jas, but I'm not sure I can think of many regs with more different stats from these guys than myself (or for the last few months, more different results lol)
