you talking about the people in the seminar or the people who actually eat poo?

if it's the former then i'd say they're ignorant rather than sick, if it's the latter then.. yup.

I verified the MB account while I was there, but I have never used it.

What do you guys think is the best way for me to get the money off at this point? Just call them and explain the situation?
Before you explain anything, go ahead and link your MB to your US bank account and try to withdraw. There's probably a limit for withdrawal and you can raise it up by claiming that the account is used for business.

My experience is I live in the US. I have a MB account. I can cash it out to my US bank.

you access it through just your normal U.S. IP right?

also, I think I did try to link it to my U.S. bank account when I was in Canada, but it wouldn't let me cause it wasn't a Canadian bank account, but I'll try again

Yesterday michaelsc was trying to shortstack against some fish on a ring table and asked for heads up, to which I of course told him that if he wanted a heads up match that he could move the game to a heads up table (the fish clearly did not want heads up and continued to play as the game filled up and chatted it up with the players). At that point he said "ok well maybe i will start talking about how you opened up a second account on cake."

I had never heard this before but I just want to make sure it's not a rumor other people are hearing. I've only played on one account ever on Cake, and I haven't played there in at least 1.5 years (I know I didn't play there in 2010, as I didn't have to file an FBAR, I believe I quit playing there early 2009). I'm not even sure there would be much of an advantage as you can change names, I guess people's notes wouldn't follow you? Anyways this was totally out of the blue to me so I wanted to make sure it's clear I have only played on my account on Cake, and if people are further curious I'm happy to give a Cake rep on here permission to look into it.

by the way, TiltMeNot does this thing where he sits at a bunch of tables alone at 5/10 and 10/20, and every time someone joins and I sit (he doesnt play me), he asks the guy if hes bad "do you want hu", I am starting to not respect his HU requests because there are HU tables and this is pure bumhunting in my eyes and against the spirit of the rules on pokerstars. Filling up the lobby and then trying to desperately hog the fish to yourself without prior agreement is unethical in my eyes.

No way anyone should respect a heads up request like that. It there are heads up tables at the same stakes (there aren't at 100/200 on Stars) and nonextreme circumstances (ie 500bb stacks) asking for heads up is weak and I would never oblige. Ring tables are there to start ring games.

I was kind pretty in the loop on Cake during that period never heard anything suggesting that or saw anything.. and there certainly was no where to hide on that site seeing as there was about 6 people that played higher than 10/20

Agree with your stance on this totally. I actually think that the etiquette should be different as far as respecting HU than it used to be. It's one thing if its a super deep HU match. or if a couple of regs are clearly trying to play HU against each other on several tables. If a fish really wanted heads up with a certain player who wasn't me I would respect that, but I don't feel like the request needs to be adhered to if the reg is asking someone to play HU, even if they say OK. I don't run into this situation often but its something I was thinking about the other day. I mean now that there are HU tables everywhere to bumhunt the **** out of people I think there are a lot fewer circumstances where HU requests should be granted.

so its cool to ask on a 9 handed 10/20 table on stars?

im going to try to make a point to ask villain before anyone else sits, but sometimes i know i forget or get busy or w/e. always feel like a dick asking, esp once someone else joins, but dont really know what else to do...

also people that just say "hu pls" without asking can suck a bag of dicks and i think it should be fine to never respect their requests.

I definitely think it's shady to make an actual agreement like this. Sometimes, though, I've sort of implicitly done this. Like if I'm on a bunch of six max tables, and I'm trying to start more, I'll sit heads up with a reg. and I'll start off trying to keep the match as low-intensity/straight-forward as possible (since I'm not really looking to add a serious hu match to my mass of tables). If he starts playing hard, then I'll start playing for real, but often times, it just ends up as an implicit agreement that we're just trying to start a 6max table. Raise most buttons, fold most bbs, play flops fairly honestly, etc. Kind of like the opposite of street poker.
