Player Info:
Button ($2000) - Unknown early 30s white male. Hasn’t played any hands in the 30 minutes or so I’ve been at the table. Has the feel of a grinder.

Small Blind ($8000) - Middle aged Asian male who claims to have been playing for 36 hours. GII a few hands earlier in a 3k pot with bottom set on an A high board against preflop raiser who was pushing the action.

Big Blind ($7000) - Asian man who appears to be in his 50s. A few hands prior on a JT9ss flop facing an all in short stack bet of $450 and a raise to $1700 by me. He called and insta jammed a 7s turn when I checked to him. He showed down QT66 with no spade in his hand.

Hero UTG Straddle ($6000) - New to plo but table doesn’t know this. Probably appear tilted from above hand with Big blind.

Hand:

2 limpers. Button raises to $60. Sb calls. Bb 3! to 280. Hero has KK67hhhx and cold calls. Button calls. Sb calls.

Flop ~$1140
Qd5d4s

Sb checks. Bb bets $1100.

I want input on preflop and post. Preflop I think this particular villain could be 3! A very wide range and I suspect he’d be capable of 5! Bluffing even with ridiculous hands given the previous hh. So I don’t feel comfortable 4! without more info on his 3! tendencies. Also feel this hand is too strong to fold, but could be wrong given this is deep stacked plo and I’ll have worst relative position which could be important as I anticipate bb having a high cbet percentage.

Post flop I am unsure of what to do as I flopped reasonably well for my hand especially against a wide cbet range but I have the other two players to worry about. Feel like several options are worth considering here:

Fold
Call with the intention of folding to a raise by sb, and the intention of GII on non diamond, non A turns.
GII on flop.

Thanks in advance for the input.

fold pre and on the flop. you probably shou'dn't sit 6k deep in a 5-5-10 game if you are "new to plo".

What makes this hand a poor candidate for flatting pre? I’m resigned to this being a fold otf, but I’m unsure of how I should be responding to the 3!. For instance if I have KK67ds is that a call or still a fold? KK9T single suited? I’m interested in what qualities of this hand make it a fold in this situation so I can be better prepared in the future.

Fold flop, this flop does not connect strongly enough with our hand to justify calling such a large portion of our stack without closing the action

Making a disciplined fold preflop is the best option for inexperienced hero. Other options have merit but would assume a higher level of postflop knowledge and strategy on standard board textures.

I think experts prefer fold here (preflop) but it's not automatic, there are a lot of factors at work that can be used to justify other actions.

Fine with the call pre but flop should be an easy fold.

The thing you are probably overlooking the most is that 3 out of the 10 cards that improve your hand are diamonds. So basically there are only 7 turn cards you can continue with. That’s not enough.

We have to assume that Kings are never good here?

I agree with the fold on the flop though. Mainly because of the other players to act and inability to play future streets well (we may be folding a turn where we're actually ahead).
