Hero opens 35 in CO KQT9 (can't remember suits but I didn't have any diamonds).
BTN calls, blinds fold.

BTN was loose pre, probably vpip'ing 40%. Early on he had fastplayed top set vs. me BVB with flop raise and big turn size. It was KQ4hh3x and he checked back some river which I believe made a straight possible (but not a flush). So he seems to have some clue/competence postflop in terms of comprehension of relative hand strength.

AdTdTx Hero 60, call.
Kd Hero 140, call.
7d Hero 240

It's not that easy to get paid by worse otr but still feel like my line is fine/best given our reads? Does anyone think it's overplayed and is anyone doing something diff otr, maybe sizing diff?

Against a player who have some clue/competence postflop in terms of comprehension of

relative hand strength river is maybe too thin.I still think betting is better than checking,

although i would prefer smaller river bet.I just hope villain didn`t raise you on river.Would not have any smart advice in that case.

Hand is not the third nuts, it's the 5th nuts. QJdd, AA, KK, AT are top 4 available hands that V could have.

Flop: Betting is good OTF, all though I might size down to $45-$55 in order to keep a wider range in the pot.

Turn: Betting turn is borderline and could potentially fold out worse hands and keep only better hands in the pot. I'm not sure that Villain is calling with a Flush draw on a paired board with an Ace on the flop, and that's really the hand that you are targeting for value at this point. Villain might even fold a hand like JT98 on a board like this since you are repping a really strong hand by betting into him on both flop and turn.

River: After villain calls twice, I am fully going into check call or maybe even check fold mode depending on the bet. I absolutely do not want to bloat the pot further with a river lead and then get raised, which is very realistic in this hand as played. By flatting twice, your opponent is representing and incredible strong range and I think there is a good chance that you are chopping at best.

I like small blocking bet on river.Wouldn`t call reraise or even large bet if we check and

villain bets.

I think we are getting raised a lot on the river as our opponent's range is extremely strong. Check calling at least gets to showdown, where as bet folding does not.

Flop bet
Turn check call. You are most likely not getting called by worse.
If check check turn, River bet fold.
If check call turn, river check call

He called and showed KK and he didn't seem too happy about the call which made me think
a) this play is definitely too thin against this V
b) this play may be too thin against population

Meh. He seemed quite happy to call with KK on the flop.

I would not put much importance on his pained call. In live games people call with 2nd / 3rd nuts in this manner both to protect their disappointment and their embarrassment. It's not a clear indication of the rock bottom of his range IMO.

What were his other two cards? Did he have trip tens as well or just a pure two outer?

I don't believe he had the Tx because my memory is he sucked out on me ott. Can't remember the hand though. I think he had an A though so I guess some AKKX.
