Hi all,

5-5-15 PLO5. Hero taking a shot, normally plays 1-2 5-card.

V is Indian reg but he's not a pro. Two limps to hero with AKKQJds who makes it $65, V/SB calls, limpers surprisingly fold.

Flop ($170): 9-3-2r. Hero has one backdoor flush draw. V donk pots. Hero? We are playing $400 eff. V probably thinks hero is tight and knows he's not a regular in the game. It's unlikely this board smacks my range. On the other hand, V can have all the low wraps and two pair/sets.

Thanks,
DT

So is there a $15 straddle or what is going on here?

I'd just fold the flop. Either we are slightly ahead or way behind.

Yes, mandatory $15-$20 straddle on. Thanks.

Standard fold, only worth a pause because we are short. We incorrectly fold to a few rundowns (ex qt987), but are crushed by everything else.

How is it relevant that villain is Indian?

Painting a picture with words.

Even tiny stories are better with detail.

If he noticed a fleck of spittle on his lapel then he could also tell us.

Irrelevant ≠ not worth including

i'd be equally interested to know what the relevance of spittle on a lapel would be.

and more importantly.... dot or feather?

Yeah I guess I could have omitted his ethnicity, but that would be much less informative. I guess I was alluding to population tendencies? (Not that all Indian players are loose/splashy, but IME - in my PLO games at least - many if not a majority are. Although I do know one Indian dude who crushes PLO5 at my casino; he's no rec.) Sorry if including his ethnicity was offensive. It's a habit I picked up in the LLSNL forum. I'll just refrain from doing so in the future if so.

Are you going to treat a 3b from an 80 year old white guy the same as a 3b from a 40 year old Indian guy? Every piece of information helps, calling it offensive is ridiculous
