How to play my wrap? 5/5 game How to play my wrap? 5/5 game

Hi guys,

I just finished a poker session and I need an advice.

It s a 5-5 table, with fishes that like to gamble but they are not degens though.

I have 500 in front of me, like other villains.

2 people limp, and I raise pot 25 on the BTN with Ah Th Ks Qs, 4 people call.

Pot: 125

Flop Jd Qc 6d

The 4 players check, and it s on me. Do we check back because of the diamond draw that we don t have, or do we bet?

Thank you!

I like betting 75-80, and seeing what happens. It's really hard to justify giving a free card here as pre flop aggressor, blocking top set and with so many ways to improve. Not planning on folding to a jam except maybe if it stays multiway

Yes, being preflop aggressor in pot limit Omaha in 5 way pot is really

crucial here.

Anyway I would check this like 100%.

I like the check also. You have a solid mix between great and terrible turn cards and you have little money commited.

Results:

I chose the gamble side.

I bet 100, BB raise 500, HJ shove 500.
I call for my last 400.

One has NFD and the second one has a set.

The guy with NFD hit on the turn and won ^^

Next time, with so many players, I would check the flop.

with out the flush draw or blocking the Ad probably fine to check.

betting is also fine - tough to say which one is better.

I think I rather check this back in position and bet it out of position but that's just me. Could of worked out for you ether way though, so I wouldn't worry too much about how you played it. Just unfortunate result.

This is a clear "it depends" situation. If we bet, we should hate getting check-raised, so we should consider how much the table likes to check-raise. I'd be more inclined to bet against opponents who usually bet with a set here because they are paranoid about giving free cards.

One consideration here is that we don't have a backdoor flush draw.

If everyone has 500 in front of them, it is likely the table just opened. I tend to play more passively at a new table and see how everyone else is playing. I probably would have limped this hand preflop early in a session.

check/decide a bet almost never gets through semibluffs require fold equity to be profitable

What do you mean a free card, you don't have much of a made hand to protect!

I can see the blocker and hoping to get it in vs. unpaired draws, but sheesh we have 4 players to get through without being called by better made hands and that's highly unlikely.

I think we are fine to stack off having bet. We are getting 3:1 so only need 25% equity to stack off.
