I remember i saw a documentary about the UB superuser scandal and in it talked about ths guy, who played a losing style of play over and over everynight and somehow managed to win a ridiculous amount of money. They said the guy ran several deviations over or something. They compared that guy to winning the lottery like 9 times in a row or something those were the odds.

King of like this cumicon guy, played 90% of his hands? over 1.3million hands? NEVER in his life had a real downswing? Are you kidding me. In the most action packed game of all time this guy NEVER lost over THAT many hands? I have 20 buy in swings every couple hours playing 6 tables, i consistantly win and lose 30 buy ins daily. For this cumicon guy to never go thru this means hes just a giant luckbox.

Id like to see his setup, at worst he probably has a computer telling him what to do. In my opinion theres a good chance he was a superuser and saw cards in real time. People who play that many hands always lose in the longrun, and he shows us a winstreak like this? so phoney

Cumicon, would you be willing to livestream a polygraph to prove you did this all the honest way and make me feel like a jackass? Only way Id ever believe it was done right.

I love how he starts off asking if there are no smart people but then asks for a polygraph test.

At what points in your career did you hit a plateau in terms of improving and how did you overcome it?

Cumicon

Thriving steady, timed with pace
Red line, green line, rise to grace
Right mind, no left hand behind
Raise back not for fear the twine

Fearless hero, cower not
Seldom villain, never bot
Heart for gold, parade of soul
By gut and grit, by fade and fold

Of few and proud, the head-high flank
A faceless force of four-star rank
Early beak adopted soar
From dawn to twilight, prey for score

Nimbus bound by gust and trust
To rise above the mountain thus
Ranges wide eyed span for flaws
Awaiting nosedive toward a cause

Big Cumicon fan,

Questions :

-How much time did you spend figuring out who martingawl is and how much time did you spend on random poker gossip.
-Are there regs you though behaved poorly etiquette wise, and who they would be (bang bang).
-Sources of motivation that got you through playing with such discipline.
-Do you ever get frustrated / the way you handle tilt.
-Is the reason you don't have an avatar because other players recognize you quicker in zoom poolz ? If you had to pick one, what would it be.
-Countries you preferred staying in, and reasons for it.
-What if I gave you money in exchange of the coaching ?

Enjoy the well deserved retirement.

Back when hu-PLO was KOTH on PS. ~6 tables of $50/$100 available with a different reg on each. Rec who is losing over 100bb/100 sits down at one of the tables. The reg is afk and times out. Other 5 table holding regs are in the lottery for who the rec will sit instead. Cumicon wins. Rec sits down with 4k that will probably last 20 minutes or something on average vs him. With the obvious possibility of reloading after bust.

Cumicon sits out.

"Not feeling like playing shortstackers right now"

Boss.

Epic first post.

Congrats Cumi on getting out at the top, hugely inspirational.

While I agree that cumicons work ethic is godlike, I do wonder how much easier it is to grind, when you have 25bb/100 winrate, which leads to almost never having downswings or have to doubt if you are playing well enough etc. what us mortal grinders worry from time to time.

Questions for the podcast

1. Did you follow some kind of daily routine? Do you have certain rituals like meditating, drinking coffee in the morning etc.?

2. What are sources of inspiration for you (authors, podcasts, blogs etc.)?

3. What are ubiquitous thought patterns/frameworks that hava a big influence on decisions in your day-to-day as well as big life decisons? (If the question is unclear I mean guidelines you fall back on like: minimizing regret, using the concept of EV in other areas of life (not only financially), habitually prioritizing certain activities over others, etc.)

4. Would be awesome if you could give us your thought process on one spot. Maybe people can post cool hands. If not I somewhat randomly picked one from hsdb:
https://www.highstakesdb.com/replaye...handid=6811802

5. Question on Exploitation vs. striving for equilibrium play:
Did your base strategy against an unknown but potentially regular player try to already exploit field tendencies? Or did you rather try to build your game on a hard-to-exploit foundation and only adjust when getting to know a certain player better?

Very happy if you can answer 1 or 2 of them.

Hi cumicon, sick sick sick graph and success...I can see why the Isildur fan boys cried whenever he decided to sit you.

I saw that your location was Ireland on Stars. Did/are you live/living there long? I'm Irish myself so pretty cool to know a sicko is living amongst us. How do you find Ireland? Also have to ask...seeing as you were like the only guy on HS with Ireland as location in recent times, are you the real EireAbu?

GG on the results, hope you still stay a little active ala Jeans but good luck in whatever you do next. You're a huge inspiration for any poker player.

Congratulations on an epic poker career cumicon.
Graph is inspirational AF.

Questions about mental game:
Did you ever deal with tilt, even at some point in your career?
If so, what were your strategies to avoid it?
Do you think any high stakes players deal with tilt?

Is it easy for you to identify when you're not playing your A game/ are you ever not playing your A game?

What do you use to determine when to stop playing for a day?
