BLEH! gg nosebleeds. Moving down to recover. Poker is hard. I hope Ben and Ben win all the moneyz. Gump can have some too.

Maybe someone can gif this hand for me, considering I was grossly under-rolled in those games and it hurt.

I just give you a quick example: Say you are playing a fish HU who has 1bi to lose. Now you can (a) crush him right in the first hand so your ev is somewhere in between +/-1bi. Or you can (b) run really bad at first until you finally win his 1 stack. Now your EV might show you should be up 10bi or sth while in reality all you can win from the weaker player is 1.
While unable to prove it mathematically, I don't believe this example proves overestimation of how bad a winning player is running.

It does show one instance where your AIEV will be higher than your average EV in a match. There are numerous situations where your AIEV will be much lower than your average EV of a match. Random example: Fish coolers you for two stacks and splits.

Additionally, I don't think the source of the Fish's funds matter. How do you have less EV in a match where the Fish ran up his stack on you compared to having run up the stack on another reg and then sitting with you?

And finally, I believe theories surrounding independent events would not support your position.
