as far as i know they don't. I'd be interested to know what the true ev here is. Since there is $126 + $6 in dead money by the river where should this be accounted for?? I've included it at the point he folds.

Obviously if i fold at any point it becomes a non-showdown loss, so should my true ev be calculated something like:

0.54*($126*2+$4) + 0.75*($382*2 + $126+$2)+0.48*(26*2) = $832.2

making the hand +$296.2

whereas hem says my ev is (approx):

0.48*$1200 = $570

making the hand +$36

I'd like to see a calc like this for all my showdown hands to get an idea of a more true expected value.

The whole idea of a program telling you your EV without having a fully defined ruleset for both players is obviously futile.

The only way I can think of to objectively discount the variance in your results is to only look at the street where the $ goes all-in, and only adjust for that part of the money.

Thus if there is a 10k pot where 6k goes in preflop, and you put your remaining 2k in as a 60-40 favorite...

Instead of the result being either +5k or -5k, it would be either (+5k-(.4*4k) or (-5k+(.6*4k)).

This would NOT purport to tell you your true expectation, it would just reduce some of the variance from your results and thus let you estimate your longterm EV with a higher confidence interval, or with a smaller sample sizing using the same confidence interval as before.

but it should make for some sweet bbv posts when someone gets super binked post flop.

gordo or gavz or blopp or someone can i make a request for a set+flushdraw over set+nodraw where the one out binks the first board and a backdoor gutball hits the 2nd?

ty in advance
