High Stakes PLO App Poker, what blinds would you rather play?

So I play 1/2 PLO on POkerrr app in several clubs, but the buy in ranges from min 160 to Max 1000.
My question is would you rather play a 1/2 PLO Game that plays big or would you rather play a 5/10 PLO game if max buy in was $1,000?
I personally enjoy the 1/2 PLO game with 1000 Buy in because i feel like i can control the pots a little better...
What do you all think?

closer to min is better for fish and recs because, unless they are a whale, they cant afford to match the big stacks. also they will get somewhat more success not playing hugely deepstacked against plo pros.
plo is so swingy personally i always buy in for like 100 bigs and just play deeper if im winning as that naturally would happen. so my own actual risk is the same.

Probably more a question or risk aversion or bankroll management. 500bb deep at 1/2 or 100bb deep at 5/10 is the same amount of currency but the difference is you'll very rarely be risking 500bb @1/2 in a single pot, even in a big splashy PLO game, but you can very easily risk 100bb @5/10 in a standard pot.

PLO in our area has really caught on in the last 18 months or so, enhanced by the opening of a 'more' local casino. When the casino first opened (Sept) they would get both the 1-2 and 2-5 games going, but I haven't seen a 2-5 table in quite some time. The bring-in for the 1-2 is 5, so a lot of the PF action is basically the same.
It's not so much the stack sizes, although the play does slow if 4-6 stacks get beyond $1500 or so. It's the idea that a Player has up to $1500 of 'their' money on the table if maxing out with 2/5. The 1/2 max BI is $500 and even though Players are dropping 3-6 BIs per session it just seems a much more comfortable spot when it's 'only' $500 at a time. This fits into the BR discussion above ...
We'll see where we are in the Fall, but the Player pool has really dropped off during the Summer. So we will have the wait and see if it's a seasonal thing or if it's a BR thing.
To get back to the OP ... I think the game is fine at 1-2-5 and could even be bumped up to $600 without hurting it too much. But I think even a jump to $800 would put a dent in both the mental and BR side of the Player pool in our area.
And just to preface my comments ... Our area produced 5 Final Table spots, multiple other cashes and one bracelet at the WSOP this year with minimal 5-10 being played, so mostly 1-2, 1-3 and 2-5 stakes. GL

Amazing that this discussion comes up and we have a 'whale' come to the 1-2 PLO table and then after a few orbits 'threaten' to leave unless they make the game 2-5. So they do (before I get there) and he proceeds to run them over. One by one the 1-2 guys take their turn buying in heavy and go down swinging ... and then the list was gone and we ended up 6-handed on one of the busier nights of the week. Floor said that numerous callers wanted to know if the game was going to revert back to 1-2 'soon' .. never did and they either played NL or didn't come into the room. GL
