I play scared and I would like comments on all streets. I think I don't lead enough and I think that with two streets to come I like leading and calling it off on the flop. A few reads at the bottom.

Full Tilt Poker FTOPS Event #6 Pot Limit Omaha Hi Tournament - t500/t1000 Blinds - 6 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

SB: t35790 M = 23.86
Hero (BB): t24800 M = 16.53
UTG: t43255 M = 28.84
MP: t84295 M = 56.20
CO: t54112 M = 36.07
BTN: t12180 M = 8.12

Pre Flop: (t1500) Hero is BB with A 8 J T
1 fold, MP raises to t2000, CO calls t2000, 2 folds, Hero calls t1000

Flop: (t6500) A 7 9 (3 players)
Hero checks, MP checks, CO checks

Turn: (t6500) A (3 players)
Hero checks, MP bets t3000, CO calls t3000, Hero calls t3000

River: (t15500) K (3 players)
Hero checks, MP checks, CO bets t7775, Hero folds, MP requests TIME, MP folds

I had seen CO play a set slow on a similar board before, and I think he was FPS'ing a lot (not to say that I wasn't either, my flop check). His bet sizing matches his value bet sizing when he was full in that previous hand, but he could just be balancing well. But, when he bets this river into two players it's hard for me to see what hands I beat here. MP was a pretty aggressive big stack, raising almost every one of my BB/SB.

Overall I think my play is too weak-tight, it's just that I can't see many worse hands calling if I ship the turn, especially on this particular river card, and this particular villain. Anyway, let me know what you guys think, thanks a lot.

You have to fold river as he would have to have atxx for you to win. How light is mp opening?

Bet/calling the flop is good and so is going for a c/r. I think I like bet/calling a little more and then following it up with a bet on the turn if just called.

I only had about ~30 hands on him at that point, but MP was about 60/40, with either minraises or 2.5x raises.

What do you guys think of 3betting this hand pre against MP's opening range and CO's flatting range?

If you check the flop, I love the way the hand is played. Unless you expect one of your opponents to bet the flop, though, I would lead. I would also consider 3betting pre depending on how bad they are and how they are bad.

Repot PF. As played I'd just lead flop because with stacks the other 2 villians are rarely going to bet/folding or bet/calling BAD hands. Turn and river look good as played.

Ashman and wazz,

thanks for the input. I did expect the PFR to cbet here as my read on him was that he was opening a lot of pots and basically pounding them until someone played back at him, so when he checked back he kind of ruined my plan.

Looking back on this hand again I think I made two smallish mistakes in not 3betting given my reads on MP and not leading. I get into a habit of just autopiloting sometimes when I'm shortstacked into weak-tight mode, i.e. what if I don't hit this flop, I should just call. I really appreciate your input on this guys, it goes a long way in giving me some confidence in my own thought process. Cheers.
