How do you approach this? I know its kinda a simple spot, but I was a little thrown off by the situation. Why I led river was since the flush completed I figured I could get value from flushes, trips, and fold to any aggression. Should I just be x/c this, or even x/f? With the size of his bet being so small is there merit to calling his raise?

I think pre is marginal. two gaps is annoying but against a tight utg range (big pairs and high cards) they will perform nearly the same. and that is to say, speculative.

as for the hand: If you want to bet, definitely bet smaller on the river. Imagine you are sitting there with AQQT and someone leads into you 60 into 72. Do you honestly call this?

Or you have A876ds with the 8 high flush. Would you call? Or maybe KKJT with the Jack flush?

Exactly! Those are all easy folds. The A with the low flush hand might turn it into a bluff, but i wouldn't hold my breath


His line bet flop check behind turn is weird. I would instinctual say that's a boat not wanting to scare of draws or "took a stab, giving up now" more than a draw taking the free card.

So I wouldn't lead out river unless I have a special read that he calls very light or does that with draws.

In a vacuum I would c/c most sizes, but expect lose a fair bit.

I would fold and beat myself up that I had to fold a hand with showdown value. And that's the lesson here: Going into the river you should think "A boat is a good hand, I want to show this down. But I don't want to stack off. How do I get to showdown the cheapest?"

That might be a blocker bet, that might be a c/c line.
