Edited as I posted different hand first, and cant change title:

Suited Ace, with sevens.

1-2-5 with $10 button straddle

UTG: $600
MP: $350
MP+1: $800
CO: $2200
BTN: $600 (stacked by CO for $1000 two hands ago)
Hero (SB): $1350
BB: $250

Pre Flop: Hero has A 7 78

Hero raises to $30 , BB calls, UTG calls, two folds, CO calls, Button is either Potting, or folding, and folds.

Flop: ($120) 9 9 7

Hero bets $60 and as expected, BB shoves all in for $220. UTG calls, fold, fold, and Hero makes first possibly regrettable decision, calls

Turn: ($780) 6

Hero checks. UTG shoves for last $350

Can I possibly still think he has a big nine, and hasn't made a better full house? I call, kicking myself

River: ($1530, three way all in) T

BB: A 9 10 K

UTG: 9 6 J Q

UTG gets lucky playing a crap hand to the flop, and then completes on turn. How and where do I get away from this, if ever, or do I just shove flop and hope for best. I still had two nutted outs to straight flush, a 7, an two 8s,but that's not much knowing in my gut i was behind.

please find me a better line. I know if anyone else raised pre flop this one plays different, and UTG can call a monster raise pre flop.

Fold pre. Hand is pretty meh, and you have lousy position first to act. If there’s a 3-bet you have to fold. Would be different without straddle and you weren’t first to act.

Shove flop. You’re always good here v UTG but later streets get harder to play against 9x. As played just shove turn 6d is a decent card and gives you 2 more nut outs.

fold pre, flop is easiest shove ever.

Thanks. I agree I’m hindsight with both suggestions. Part of me was excited after watching such a big hand get played with lousy cards right before this. I needed to look at this in a vacuum. I should have shoved flop, and yes, I should have folded pre.

You played it fine. Vs 2 you should expect to have less than 50% equity but still should be enough to go with it in a vacuum.

That hand preflop is awful.
Even double suited I dump it in the SB. I probably open it at worst cut off if it folds to me???

As played easy flop jam.
